What does this have to do with anything?

Are you bragging about how much your team was populated by quitters or something?

Your opinion does not equate to being a "fact"

a trick play (Stingley looking at coaches for play call), and Stingley fell down in coverage on the last TD to Devonta at the end of the game.

Man, that Stingley kid sounds terrible.

Well it’s easier to win awards when first round talent is not even playing. Means you didn’t go against the cream of the crop for those awards.

People are so butt hurt Chase made a smart business decision. The kid didn’t want to risk millions in a Covid year so he made the smart decision and looks like he will be the first WR taken in the draft.

At 1 maybe 2 position groups

Gimme 2020 Bama at QB, RB, Oline, D-Line, OLB, ILB, CB, S, Kicker, and Punter
So Mac > Tua???
Mac going top 5 in the draft?

Najee = Najee
Like I said, 2020 defense was roughly the same statistically while playing covid/opt out depleted teams all year.

I will give you the kicker punter though if that makes you feel better. =)

Is the draft supposed to be the end all be all or something? The biggest criticism of Tua was his performances in big games. Against top 25 teams Mac completed 77% of his passes at 11.5 yards per pass, 27 tds, and 3 ints.

If you think that 2020's defense wasnt miles better than 2019, its probably because you werent watching very closely

I think the most hilarious part that it somehow Ohio State wins that national title game, the whole perception is drastically different. Imagine a fricking 8-win team actually being a national champion. A season where teams didn’t even play the same amount of games, and studs were forced to sit out of games because of bullshite contact tracing (TLaw playing the first game against ND shakes the playoffs up completely).
They're not going to like this, nor will any of them acknowledge it...

Its hard to argue that the 2020 defense was "miles better" when 2019 Alabama's opponents averaged 18.6 points per game and 2020 Alabama's opponents averaged 19.4.

LSU fans circa 2020: Tua is the greatest QB in Alabama history!! Mac Jones sucks dick!!

Looks like it:

Report: Mac Jones going higher in NFL Draft than experts think

quote:

Outside of projected No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence, no quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft is receiving more traction this month than Alabama's Mac Jones, a first-team All-American who turned heads in front of scouts at the Senior Bowl in January. Jones, who was projected as a mid first-rounder after winning the national championship last season, has since moved into the Top 10 and ahead of Ohio State's Justin Fields.

Former NFL front office executive Mike Tannenbaum said he's hearing Jones will go early and there's two teams specifically who have honed in on his talents.

“Mac Jones, University of Alabama, his floor is No. 8 to the Carolina Panthers,” Tannenbaum said Monday. “Go back to the Senior Bowl, Matt Rhule loved him. It’s no secret they’re losing for a quarterback. Mac Jones’ floor in this year’s draft is No. 8. There’s a lot of speculation about New England. Bill Belichick, Nick Saban having conversations, if that goes well, New England is going to have to go above No. 8 to go get Mac Jones.”

Arent you on record saying that defenses in college football were worse across the board because of covid? Or does Bama not get that benefit of the doubt

They were.

The poster I was replying to stated that the 2020 Alabama defense was "miles better" than the 2019 Alabama defense.

Well...they were. Improvement occurred at all 3 levels. Particularly at linebacker and in the secondary. In 2020, Najee Harris had more tackles than Shane Lee. Who was Bama's 2nd leading tackler in 2019

I'm just saying the statement is an opinion and not backed up by quantifiable statistics.

vs P5 Opponents

2019 Alabama Defense
YPP - #28
PPG - #24

2020 Alabama Defense
YPP - #12
PPG - #5 (only behind ULL and 3 teams from the offense optional Big Ten West - NW, Iowa, Wisky)

Pretty big difference

2019 Bama gave up 19.9 points per game. Not 18.6

So desperate to make your point that you just made shite up

Not to mention 23% of 2019 Alabama's defensive stats were against New Mexico State, Southern Miss and Western Carolina........which is silly to compare to 2020 when 0% of their stats were against non-P5 teams. Unless you have an ulterior motive in mind, of course.
