He was Qb when my son was there. I always felt like if he would have been able to play that last game vs bama he would have won and cost bama a championship and been a hero. (The game where the running back ran out of bounds and bama won at the end)

He may yet get another chance to cost bama a championship

I said several times on here that he'd be a really good qb if he ever got a decent qb coach. Auburn fans called bullshite.
He had a good QB coach in Kenny Dillingham at Auburn, he never had an oline of SEC caliber and his HC was too tangled in the offense that he couldn't let the OC do his job. Gus pigeonholed the WR's, stubbornly forced an offense without the players to execute his system, he failed miserably to recruit SEC level olinemen and even RB talent was iffy at times.

Bo was blown up to unreal proportions in this state because of Patrick. Gus had failed to recruit quality QB's that would've allowed Bo to grow and develop, so Gus had to throw him to the wolves as a true-frosh in the freaking SEC. Harsin was a shitshow operation.

Bo & his family made the best business decision. Oregon was an easy choice because Kenny Dillingham was already coaching at Oregon when Bo transferred.

Bo got support with surrounding players on the field, he got development & training and a HC + Dillingham that supported him. A fanbase that brought him in and didn't judge harshly and the kid literally matured and grew up into a fine QB in a matter of months. Good for Bo!

I would love to see what the Oregon forums were saying when UGA was pushing his shite in first game though.

Patrick Nix really couldn’t afford Proactiv for his kid to avoid all those crater scars?

Oregon fans visited ours during the 2019 preseason. They are a self-loathing, deprecating bunch. I remember one poster was like "they got Jauntavious, Dontavious, and Montavious; we got Carl, Luke, and Will. "

Because he was a straight up a-hole during the games and on the sidelines

His former teammates disagree.
They all seem pretty close…based on social media posts and even visiting each other, etc

Washington and Oregon will be a great game.

Pac-12 teams seem to struggle on the road a lot. I expect Washington to win that game easily.

What happened to Patrick Nix? Dude looks way older than what he should.

The HS QB on my team had an awful line as well. I still remember the desperate frustrations he unleashed several games. That QB ended up going on to play shortstop at UNA and became a dentist.

Maybe Bo should have shown more "leadership" while doing his job, but the point remains he had no help and most of his offensive teammates weren't doing their job. You cant just expect someone like Bo to do 2021 LSU every game when you are outtalented and expect them to stay sane.

Bo's problem was coaching. See he turned it around when he got with a Georgia man.

A lot of teams have a bad case of Penix envy this year.

Didn’t watch the video but wanted to say I still have no idea where the hate for Bo Nix came from.

I would understand people complaining about his play but there was and still is something extra towards him. I’m baffled by it.

He was a lot better than he got credit for also.

This.

I watched it. I hope Bo wins the Heisman. There was a ton of pressure put on him and he was forced to play without the supporting cast he has now, especially on the line. He didn't get the best coaching either, especially at the end.

Bo started for three years at Auburn, and likely would have owned the record books had he put up with Harsin another year. He graduated, married his sweetheart and then made a smart decision concerning his football dreams and future. Good for him.

The best thing for both of us was for him to go to Oregon and get Harsin fired. His injury costs us probably 2-3 wins, but also saved us from the potato man.

This is so true. With Bo at the helm instead of a limping TJ, we probably would have won a couple more games, including the Iron Bowl. Might still have fired taterhead because of his recruiting, but probably would have given him another year -- and we'd be lucky to win 3 games this year.

There's no fanbase that treats a kid great when they lose. I feel like it impacted Bo more because of his family connections, and how he grew up. We didn't all hate or say vile shite to him. I knew he didn't have the talent around him for the most part, but I guess he only heard and felt his detractors. I wish him the best and hope he's a first rounder. Wish he'd remember the people who cheered and took up for him, or at least highlight how awful Harsin was too.

Interesting that lifelong Auburn fan Bo struggled while lifelong UGA fan Stetson thrived. I am pulling for Nix and Oregon to meet Georgia in the playoffs. Bo would love having one more chance to lose to Georgia.
