They were a legit team from 2016 to 2022 in a legit league. Only in the last year have they completely changed to the Globetrotter business model.

From TikTok it just looks like baseball players performing lipsynched dance routines. Even the umpire gets in on it. The first basemen playing on 10 foot stilts was certainly crazy to comprehend.

A bunch of good looking college baseball players dancing sounds like a girls night out. And they’ve evidently found enough fans as most of their tour is sold out.

I checked out their TikTok page. From the clips I saw, it’s like going to a baseball stadium but watching a musical/theatre performance.

Lot of kids and girls will have fun at this. Credit to the guy for coming up with the concept it’s been a hit the first year.

Yeah, it’s formulaic on HBO where you can literally do anything. That’s why Eastbound & Down was so great. It didn’t keep to any formulas despite the source material being very narrow.

Is there really nobody in Hollywood that could write a comedy based on Silicon Valley? Really? Without resorting to the exact same formula each season?

Fred Armisen got like 9 seasons out of making fun of one city in the Northwest. But Silicon Valley…a million apps/people/tech and this is the end result. On a platform like HBO where there’s no censoring of jokes.

You have an abundance of source material, on a network you can do anything on, and the end result was complete mediocrity.

A couple memes here or there. That’s it. That’s all anyone remember. The show never really figured out whether it was a comedy, faux documentary, drama, or anything. Very underwhelming. I think the lead,the annoying guy from the phone commercials,just sucked all the comedy potential out of it

Cassidy is a great wrestler. Scrappy athletic underdog, that has his spots that get over with the crowd.

The crap on WWE is stuff like Alexa Bliss playing with magic dolls. Or even their main guys who wrestle the exact same generic soft style

With AEW you get more athletic guys doing far more crazier stuff in the ring, and you get far less scripted promos.

Their last PPV had Danielson/Saber, Darby/Christian, and Swerve/Hangman which were all different types of matches and all great.

WWE is like watching a comedy with a laugh track. It’s boring, paint by the numbers corporate branding. It’s a restaurant that serves the exact same thing nonstop.
