I just read the article linked below about the Sooner softball team talking about how important their faith was to them. What a refreshing thing to read in this day and age. Christian haters can downvote if they'd like. LINK

Video has gone viral and Fox News picked it up …. It brings tears to your eye even if you’re a non believer you will second guess your decisions watching that. What’s really messed up people were trying to make OU about like they are horrible for pointing to the sky and celebrating Jesus ….. people have no clue .

No, I don’t think so. I have accepted that we still have some primitive thinking even in the year 2023. People have been making up gods for thousands of years.
A softball team can pray day and night, but it doesn’t change the fact that we evolved and were not created (which means death and suffering are products of nature, not sin) and that a man several hundred years old didn’t build a fricking wooden boat and save all life from a global deluge some 4,000 years ago. That’s insane and totally inconsistent with geology, paleontology, and biogeography.
And I have been to much of the Holy Land. I have seen where Jesus was supposedly born, baptized, arrested, crucified, resurrected, and ascended. Few Christians have done that even though they say their lives revolve around Jesus. I don’t really get that. Too busy planning trips to college football games and 30A instead, I guess.
Anyway, there’s so much religious bullshite in that area between Muslims, Jews, and Christians (with almost all of it stemming from culture) that you would be foolish to take any of it seriously.
