UGA is in a rare position

Can recruit the state of GA

Like Richt with the Canes. Just a good fit

I think you hit on it. It seems we have had some coaches fail at some colleges, then go elsewhere it do well. (Muschamp might do that at USCe) It's a matter of finding the right "fit" for the school. I have no doubt Florida will find their guy, and it will come far too soon for a lot of Georgia fans. We are starved for some success.

Be nice Korin. I know you don't like UGA, but I have always put you in the good Gator fan category....for some reason.

This years class looks good on paper at this point but will see attrition with coaching change,

It depends on who they bring in. Smart held ours together and added to it. Their new coach could hold most of their class together, and possibly add to it, too. Florida is a very fertile recruiting ground, and the recruit pretty well in Georgia, too.

Good coaches are seemingly rare. I'm all in on taking a small flyer on Frost. Seems like he has "it" whatever "it" is.

There are more bad ones out there than good one. But if a school ever hits on a good one magic can happen. Florida did it twice with Spurrier and Urban Meyer. It can happen again for you.

The SEC needs the big 6 to be good. Right now there are only 2 of them that are good.

This will be the year that Florida will say, "What if?"
What if their had been no suspensions? What if your QB had not gotten hurt? I am hoping that franks doesn't get gun shy. He could develop into a really good QB, but when you have to put a young QB in there before he is ready it can permanently damage his mental state.

I'm very impressed by UG. Enjoy the rest of the season. Hopefully you guys can beat Alabama.

Thanks, road. Our fan bases seem to really dislike each other, but I have never honestly understood animosity toward a fan base. Both have good and bad fans. I want my team to win and you want your team to win.

Hope you guys get the coach you want and you get everything turned around......slowly.

Intuitive reading would suggest that I’ve been a gator fan longer than 7yrs or else rare isn’t applicable...also, noticing I’ve beeb a member of this board for 11yrs ....but you a UGA fan, assuming intelligence is a mistake

Uh, no. Very different set of circumstances. VERY different teams.

You beat an awful Gator team.

So because you beat some shitty Dawg teams in the 90's, we get to vacate those losses? That's AWESOME!

I am happy we won the game. It was great to see us bust big running plays. Florida gave us some stuff to work on. Namely the front seven playing more physical at the point of attack. We should not kid ourselves. Florida is an elite job. They will hire a very good coach. They have what is needed to be very successful. I hope we continue to get our program better. We will need to. Florida will not have many years like this one.

My experience in real life is the adult fans of both teams get along just fine.

Yesterday, all the tailgates I attended were filled with fans of both teams that had no issues at all.

There's mutual respect based on my friends of both sides.

It's all just bullshite here.

Got a buddy of mine whose son plays at a small college. Their college was having senior day, so he and his wife wnet to that, of course, then got a hotel room to stay the night and watch the game. (She is a Georgia fan) Some other friends watching the game at my house wanted to call him and rub it in. I wouldn't do it for several reasons.

1. He never rubbed it in when Florida beat Georgia
2. I easily remember how it feels when your team losses to a rival. It's not fun.
3. He's a lot bigger than me and could tear my head off.

Exactly this. Anonymous message board. Can't let it get to you and just remember that people who want to rub it in aren't worth the time or trouble!
