Haven't read any of this thread, but things I'm sure Florida fans are falling back on:
1) but Georgia hasn't won a national title in so long!
2) we will hire a new coach who will immediately turn us around
3) kirby is muschamp 2.0 and you guys will crash down to earth next year

Spurrier ain't coming back and FSU and now Miami and soon to be UCF is out recruiting you in state. Going to be a frustrating time in the future for Gators

Gator here, y’all kicked our arses. I think the rivalry is fantastic and I love it when both teams are strong—makes both teams better. Mac, in my opinion is completely full of himself and wayyyy over his head. Just mediocre and undisciplined, not prepared...yada yada yada. I love it when Georgia is strong...should make all of SEC better. Congrats!

UF has the talent in place for a quick turnaround.
Not to mention top 10 classes in place. The right coach could come in and easily win.

Who is next in line? IMO, there aren’t any really big names. UT believes they are getting Gurden. UF going for Mullen? Bobby P? Butch Jones?

I like Frost and ill admit Kiffin is growing on me.

Morning buttsniffers. Yes, since 1990 we have owned your sorry asses...but yesterday was a behind the woodshed beatdown by the better team. Congrats. I hope you beat Bama and get the east the credit it deserves finally. If you look, USC and UK have quietly compiled 6-2 records.
Doesn't make me a lesser Gator fan. Mac just has not endeared himself to fans and Gators expect much more. UGA went 6-7 and kept Helen Hunt...errr Richt.

Thanks, man. I have some friends who are Florida fans. Good people. Florida will be back sooner than later....and we will have many more good games in the future. It's my favorite game of the year and the one i am most scared about every year...for good reason.

It's a whole lot harder to hit on a good coach than it is one that has to learn. We got lucky with Smart. I have no doubt Florida will be back, ready and anxious to make our lives miserable again!

UF's talent is average. That's the whole problem.
It will be hard to hold the 2018 class together, but I would expect a huge 2019 group with the new staff.

Jokes aside I do think that Florida is a job that can be quickly turned around at any time due to proximity to talent. The current talent problem at Florida is real in my opinion though. Obviously Mac did not recruit at the level Florida expects. This years class looks good on paper at this point but will see attrition with coaching change, not to mention the fact that other teams in the SEC will surpass it simply by nature of adding commitments.
The Georgia recruiting machine shows no signs of slowing down. Talent gaps between rivals have a way of growing since success begets more success. Will be interesting to watch it unfold.

Mac was never a good fit as an SEC head coach. Doesn't seem like he ever embraced the fan base and they didn't embrace him either.

Good coaches are seemingly rare. I'm all in on taking a small flyer on Frost. Seems like he has "it" whatever "it" is.
The SEC needs the big 6 to be good. Right now there are only 2 of them that are good.
I'm very impressed by UG. Enjoy the rest of the season. Hopefully you guys can beat Alabama.
