this is stupid. i know there desparately want their network to thrive but imo it is good marketing to maximize the number of tv sets watching their team. actually, the number of people watching should be maximized. the cable world seems to revolve around the number of sets that can be on the game instead of those that are. this longhorn network thing just might end up actually reducing exposure of their program. i would laugh my arse off if that's what it does and tejas again falls off the radar screen for decades like it was pre mack brown.

Actually, putting the Ole Miss game on the LHN was a desperate ploy that worked- afterwards TWC (biggest cable provider in Austin) picked up the LHN.

The whole concept of the LHN was that Texas had SO MUCH exposure when they started it, that some of that could (and should to prevent overexposure) be sacrificed in order to monetize that popularity.

Problem is the network sent us to the SEC, forever allowing us to cut into their surplus of exposure.

You already lecture the conference and you have three 10 win seasons since 1964. I'm not sure it could get worse.

Agreed, but the critical bit of information you left out of your post is "We're Texas". A lot of what's happening is all about that arrogance.

I don't think the OM game is the end for Mack but I don't see him returning after this season if it's as abysmal as I think it will be.

if OM wins, it's a gut shot to Mack and just a matter of time before he bleeds out. his "retirement" would be announced before the Red River Rivalry

Come on Ole Miss. Will be listening to the game on my drive back to Houston and pulling for you guys..

51 to 24 would sure be nice.

Break it off in their arse. They are primed to lay down and quit. Most of their fans have, players can't be far behind.
