We have a commitment that it will be paid from LSU. We didn’t have that before. Thank you for your understanding.
That’s not what the comment that he replied to said though.

It’s like every LSU fan is retarded. Decimal points make a difference.

It’s pedantic nonsense disguised as a gotcha. LSU owes us on Kiffin’s buyout, Devin Harper’s buyout, and PU’s buyout. Buyout’s are paid in agreed upon terms. They don’t just write checks unless the amount is trivial. I’d expect Ole Miss and LSU came to an agreement on when and where it would be paid. It’s a promissory agreement that Ole Miss can sue for nonperformance if it comes down to that, which is unlikely.
I’m the author of the original comment. I didn’t want to say all that.

lol…he has a contract with a buyout.
If you want the kid pay the buyout the go brag about it.
I find it odd that LSU is balking so hard at paying him. Could it be LK doesn’t think he’s worth the asking price?

But Ole Miss fans told me the players didn't like Kiffin...

So he gets 4 out of 85 and now he’s amazing and all players love him. Come on now!

The buyout needs to be paid for him to have the right to enter the portal.

Which is it?

Both. See above. I don’t have to explain myself twice for using shorthand.

Your most productive edge and LB and Kiffin isn't even a defensive guy. It's clear everyone doesn't hate him like the Runts want you to believe.

It is surprising that Dottery and Prince's DC was promoted to head coach and they still left. That's a lot of defensive production leaving their coach for an all new (to them) defensive coaching staff.
I was expected a couple offensive players because of Lane and Weis, but thought defense would stay in Oxford.

Let's be honest. Ole Miss kept a lot more players than they would have if they didn't make a good run in the playoffs.
Credit their staff for using that to their advantage. Not making the playoffs or losing round 1, would have been a mass exodus.
I'm good with the guys LSU got and I'm definitely happy most of our OL left.

Edit: that victimization like he’s being held hostage is peak LSHou and par for the course so I get it. Garbage in, garbage out.
How does it feel to know that after your best season ever both your roster and your coaching staff are so desperate to leave that you end up with Pete Golding as your HC?
(I'm really just fishing for.another one of those "Pete is the guy we wanted all along" comments. Those are hilarious.)
