The starter had a phenomenal game. Then we finally start to get to him and they take him out. I am excited because we got to the bullpen.

Probably should have done some homework. He has 14 saves and a 1.26 era.
I think the reason Childress did not insert him in the top of the inning was Dox had pitched such a great game.
HOffman is not concerned about anything except to get batters out.
He has been a rare find.

I think he relied too much on that splitter early in the season, and the wear and tear is getting to him a bit. Like the announcers were saying, he needs to develop some soft stuff to complement his impressive arsenal of hard stuff. But, having said that, I think you have to give credit to A&M taking advantage of pretty much every mistake pitch he made. Usually, you get away with some of those, but Mize was not that fortunate last night.
