Kentucky is not as attractive of a job as their fans like to believe.
Mostly because their fans are the ones that make it so terrible.

Time to trade these losers for FSU, Va Tech or another somewhat decent ACC program.
Kentucky now contributes nothing to our great conference. Literally the Aggies of the east with less overall fan support and resources. At least Aggies have the potential to be winners.

They do though. They just need to hire an AD who has a freakin brain.

Every coaching search doesn’t really hafta be internet jocks speculating on who is turning down whom.
You actually don’t know.
Rest assured, Kentucky will hire a coach. Might even go after Musselman since he’s kinda between houses….

History says different. I’ve seen many years of it and it’s something super natural that won’t allow it for some reason.

KY job isn't the job it was when KY was pretty much the only BB school in the SEC....Now you have several good programs and topnotch coaches. SEC basketball is a different story than it was.

I believe UK can be a great basketball program still. Calipari's approach to building a roster is dead in the NIL era and he has not adapted quite as well as others.

All of college basketball is different now. Look at the final 4 these last 2 years.

Hard to adapt when funds aren't available to do so.

Sounds like a donor issue. It isn't like Alabama basketball is the top NIL draw for our donors but it is clearly getting enough support to completely overhaul the roster into a final four caliber team after losing basically their entire #1 overall seed roster.

I’m no Kentucky fan, but I’ve got a ton of respect for them. You people are fooling yourself if you think Kentucky isn’t going to find a great coach. For most of my life, Kentucky has been the only program that’s kept the SEC in the national spotlight in basketball. We’ve had a few seasons where Florida and Arkansas had great seasons, but otherwise it’s been Kentucky carrying the weight of this conference. They’re just like Bama in football. I guess that’s why all of you petty fans are getting your cheap shots in now. Because you know they’re not going to be down for long.

You mean like Beard turning down Arkansas?

Funds are not the reason Calipari failed. You sound like Seth Greenberg. Calipari has had more talent than anyone. Lack of coaching skill and ego is what did him in the end
