How about sack up and don't schedule ANY Fcs?
I thought we'd never played FCS, but someone pointed out we did play Sam Houston State back in '06, but we haven't done it since and will never again.
You only quit playing them because you are scared of losing them.
And that's why getting rid of them will suck. You can't have #5 Michigan losing to FCS App St if you're too scared to play a FCS game.

Screw you. When your team was playing their cupcake the rest of us were playing meaningful games

9 games would be dumb with how the committee views SOS
It's absolutely moronic.
With this bias committee were better of keeping Bama, UGA away from themselves, Texas, rocky top and Ole Miss.
That way our conference can cruise to two undefeated teams and three with only one loss.
Works for the B1G so why not

A BIG REASON FOR LACK OF GOOD GAMES IS THERE ARE 2 BYES AS WELL AS NEXT YR ...BUT NORMALLY ONE BYE SO MORE COMPACT OR MORE GOOD GAMES THERE WILL BE HOLD ON ITS COMING 2026

Because you have an advantage
Yes. We have the advantage of being good year after year, recruiting top 5 talent, and creating a standard by which everyone compares themselves. And for that, we should be given preseason consideration. I would suggest you fix your subpar team

Good to hear. Can’t imagine being a season ticket holder with the byes, rent-a-wins, and neutral site games. Terrible value.

November FCS games are the price the SEC plays for early season conference games and OOC in-state rivalries (UGA/GT, UF/FSU, UK/Louisville, SC/Clemson).
The SEC has a fair number of week 2 and week 3 conference games each year. Other conferences don't start league play until week 4 or 5.

FCS schools get a lot of help because they play major FBS schools

I like the milder weather and an opportunity to take young children to a game for relatively cheap and a guaranteed win.
That's why you have Tenner on the schedule.

Those FCS games yesterday were all blowouts. So we're most of the early season FCS contests.
LSU struggled mightily vs Nicholls second game this season. That got my attention early on that this wasn't a top-shelf Tiger ensemble.

There are so few ranked v ranked games on any given Saturday. It’s terrible.
CFB fans get so caught up in the AP Top 25, and ranked vs ranked. Here is ABC's slate of games on Saturday=
Noon Game: Texas @ unranked Arky, hell of a game
Mid day: LSU @ unranked Florida, hell of a game
Primetime: Tenn @ UGA, two ranked teams
On one single channel, there was a whole day of good games, all SEC vs SEC and all really good games.
That's not even including the Mizzou @USC game, an amazing game. I don't even know if either were ranked.
Another problem with the mentality of "we dont see enough ranked vs ranked" is nobody knows who is going to be ranked where and when, outside of week 1. How the hell are you supposed to schedule ranked vs ranked a year in advance when you have no idea who will be ranked where and when.

Arkansas needs to have as many UAPBs on schedule as they can.
Wins are hard to come by in Fayetteville.

For a lot of these schools this is their last game of the season and they like playing a big name team to end the year.

Arky did blow out Miss St, and beat Tenn and Auburn. This is a good razorback team

They like losing 59-3 and physically abused in their last game of the season ?

It may not be a popular take but when teams are having down years it gives them a chance to win enough games to become bowl eligible which brings in more money for all of us to split. We have a game coming up that should get us to 6 wins and a bowl so we can help out the conference financially and help pay our part.
This conference isn’t the place for rebuilding teams to thrive immediately, ask Oklahoma, so these cupcakes can allow these teams to help by making some extra cash plus it helps the teams we play tremendously.
It’s all about the money these days.
