Get ready for the Longhorns to start crying...

TL:DR - Unless a player does it directly in a Longhorns face, it's not unsportsmenlike.

Texas fans love things done in their face

But but but but they’ll come in and take over our conference like they did in the big 12! We ran away from it and now they are here.

Thanks for summary. Doesn’t bother me a bit. I think it’ll make for some fun rivalries.

Fair application
Gurley got a flag for doing the gator chomp followed by a throat slash, while UGA's defense in 2017 got away with gator chomping following the scoop and score against Florida since they were doing it in celebration with each other and running towards our own sideline.

Which is how it's always been called in the Big 12. Horns downs happens a ton every single game against us and the opposing players don't get called for it, nor should they.

And it was a bad call. We had a WR do "guns down" after scoring in the exact same way and it was called. Shitty calls happen.
Also, at the end of the game when they beat us on a 2-pt conversion, their whole team was throwing the horns down and didn't get called.

Already petitioned Elon Musk to add a horns down emoji

The throat slash is 100% flagged so not a fair comparison. That one had been banned.

I'll never not upvote the Henderson gif.

Lol I think y'all care a lot more about this issue than Texas fans do.
We have never once wanted this to be a penalty and have never cared one way or the other. Knock yourselves out...

That thumbs down gesture to the Texas A&M crowd earned Reese a 15-yard penalty for excessive celebration, and helped the Aggies turn their next possession into three points. With Baylor's defense already doing its best to aid the Texas A&M offense, penalties like Reese's are seriously painful.

Someone should ask SEC officials if thumbs down will be a penalty.
