First they were whining that they were the best team last year. (not much fuss from LSU after FLa's nat championship), Now this...

LINK

Yes his jump was great, but K William's vs V tech was better, and scored a TD vs a good team.

They dont need to say a thing. If they win all their games, they'll be #1. If they loose one, they may still get a chance. But I'm getting sick of Georgia's whining.

War eagle fans, are they always like this?

I think there is mounting frustration because Richt has had so much success, but has yet to produce a national championship and their fans really want one. I think it's only a matter of time untill he wins one. I had a Georgia fan tell me I "would never understand what Georgia fans went through watching LSU jump them in the polls to go to the BCS championship game". I just had to laugh...I was like yall lost two games and did not even win your division. When you go undefeated like Auburn did in 2004 and get left out then you can bitch to me.

That's funny, nobody from LSU whined when Richard Dickson's leap over the App. St. didn't make a highlight reel. I wish I had a link.

Hey a few fans here and there, no prob.
The coach?? Half the damn university?
They need to give it a rest.

Now if Richt want to say that that the PAC 10 and Big 10 play easy schedules vs SEC...

Didnt see this earlier, and no Germans- WOW the board is slow today

The biggest band wagon jumpers in the South. They win and the flags, car door magnets, shirts and hats stay out all week. They lose and you wont find a dawg fan on Sunday morning, even in downtown Athens, GA.

in the first place they should never have been ranked that high, thus avoiding the controversy, LSU, even though upset by Ark., should have not dropped below Ga. because they were still going to the SECCG and Ga. was not. that's why the media, sportswriters, etc. are a joke, they really don't know what in the hell their doing when it comes to voting.

There is nearly a leap every weekend in football. Now I know this is pro's, but some guy for the Panthers had a sick leap this past weekend as well.

It is not that uncommon. One guy for Rutgers had probably the best leap I have ever seen, he jumped over a guy nearly standing straight up.

Not gonna belabor the point, but if you read the quote I do believe it was much more tongue in cheek than you're giving credit for...

Regardless, it was still a very cool play.

And you won't get any whining from me. I promise.

what if the RB runs straight at the defender and somersaults right over him and keeps going, would that be the alltime leap?

I agree with this 110%. The voters should have realized that they would have the opportunity to have UGA ahead of LSU IF LSU would have lost to Tenn. They must have known that if LSU beat Tenn they were all going to leap LSU ahead of UGA, so why put UGA ahead of LSU before the game? Most of the voters have no clue.

I never realized UGA fans were such cry babies. Is this new under Richt? I don't remember the crying and chest bumping as much as I see now. Do they think they are the new "U"?

Pretend for a moment every commentator in the nation is telling you that your team is the best team in the country, they deserve to play for the national championship, blah blah blah, ranked second in the land mind you, and then POOF!!! These same commentators cast their vote for the third ranked team that is annually overrated. Next, imagine your team being ranked number in all the preseason polls all summer long and the only coverage they get is how they have some nucklehead players drinking underage (God forbid) and driving on suspended liscenses, etc.

Then imagine the first week of football season finally arrives and your number ranked team does everything they need to do and pulls out their starters after being up 38-0, then the same commentators that blew smoke up your arse the year before, and all summer long, decide they don't want you to be number one anymore and leapfrog a team that beat the shite out of the worst team in the weakest BCS conference. All the while, in 4 total hours of College GameDay Live, they only discuss your team in passing for a couple of minutes. They don't even bring up your team AT ALL during the first broadcast which is being held in your own backyard while you're ranked number 1 in the country. When the hell has CGDL NEVER mentioned the number one team during a broadcast?

Then imagine, to add insult injury, your star player and best back in the country, makes an incredible play and the SAME commentators don't even run the clip, and instead waste their time desperately making excuses for why Ohio State sucks dog nuts.

Damn I feel better!!!

you got it out DDawg, feels good, huh? SC is espn's and the general media's darling every year with OSU a close second, that is until another team comes along and bitchslaps them, then the commentators are forced to do the unthinkable, hype someone else.
