If you’ve got room for the poop, they’re fantastic. Big sweet dogs. Temperament very similar to a calm golden retriever.

Considering we were the worst team in the SEC for the last 2 years, improving to 9-10th is a difference.

That said, I think we should be in the tourney most years w frequent runs into the sweet 16. We wont be.

Fur and wildlife festival in Creole may not be what you’re looking for, but it’s unique.

People say it’s the oldest and coldest festival in Louisiana. There are the normal Louisiana festival stuff, plus:


- dog trials
- nutria skinning competition


-trap shooting (just a few hundred yards from the rides)

And if you go, say hello to the past festival queens (they will be wearing a fur coat, vest, or shawl)

I had one coon arse from bayou pigeon go on and on about how great Alaskan king crabs were in his gumbo. He said you could suck out the crabmeat from the legs like a straw.

He was a big ole boy, I believe him and plan on trying it next time i make a seafood gumbo
