I was wondering. I couldn't imagine any Georgia or LSU fan calling us rivals. It's a great game and I always look forward to playing LSU, but nobody would consider us rivals. At least, nobody I know.

UGA will always be UGA, Auburn is their Super Bowl. The Gators dominate the dawgs and will soon dominate the east. UGA the only member of the big 6 with out a BCS or CFP NC. UGA had one chance and blew it.

solid defense.
You finished 53 in the country.

Tell me how UGA wins that one NC in 1980 without Herschel
Probably not but he was surrounded by excellent talent and the year after he left we won 10 games and finished in the top 5 and beat the #2 team in the country.
Can't exactly say the same for Cam and company, correct?

Those were not my words....you were paraphrasing a statement using your terms. Just playing someone doesnt make them a rival
Are you just mildly retarded or full blown
quote:
LSU has never been a traditional or non traditional rival. No matter what twisted definition of rival you want to come up with.
Good god these goal post keep moving. now were making up titles like non traditional rivals

While I would disagree, I will say that if Auburn is our Super Bowl, then we sure do win a lot of Super Bowls, don't we?
quote:
The Gators dominate the dawgs
What is your definition of dominate? Georgia has won the last 5 out of 8. I mean, they used to dominate us. But i would say recent history would argue against that. but then, we are dealing with Auburn fans who think Georgia has not dominated Auburn even though Georgia is 11-4 against Auburn in the last 15 years.

UGA had one chance and blew it.
Dude. Do you even remember 2013?
Name the last NC Auburn won in which they were not on probation or under investigation for paying players.
I anxiously await your answer.

I said solid defense, not elite. That defense was still full of Tuberville players.

Incorrect. There was plenty of talent on that team. Auburn has never been at a loss for talent.
quote:
Probably not
Absolutely not. Georgia fans of all people should know how hard it is to win the NC, even with good talent. Most years it takes a great player or two to get you over the top.

Oh, this old chestnut? I guess it doesn’t matter that a year long investigation uncovered not one shred of wrongdoing on Auburn’s part.

About half of them...

Oh there it is... what happened to that investigation and do you know who one of the coaches was that was involved in the other probation team? I think he might be a coach who won a schools sole national championship...

And this is what you stated previously

If they are rival then they (LSU) are to uga as well.
Twisted logic at it's finest and then you deny saying it.

In fairness (And I don't want to get in the middle of y'alls argument on this) he was refuting the other posters claim that the 2010 team had a solid defense. 53rd is not really solid. If 53rd is correct, I am surprised, actually. It seemed better to me.
I guess it would come down to the definition of "solid"?
My thought would probably be top 1/3 in the nation.

"If" What does that mean? Why was that put in there? what was the context of the quote? please think about these things, so I dont have to show you

Looked pretty damn solid when they completely shut down Oregon in the NC game.

That's not even solid

So how come you loss 5 games in '11? BTW almost every team not named Bama is at a loss for talent in particular years.

Last 15 years says otherwise...or are you going to argue that Auburn and Georgia have been heated rivals throughout history?
quote:
Dude. Do you even remember 2013?
Dude do you remember 2010?
You missed the point. he was arguing that georgia blew it in 2017. Fair enough, but lets not pretend Auburn didn't do the same in 2013.
quote:Doesn't matter. The fact that even the NCAA thinks something is fishy when Auburn contends says volumes. However, don't pretend that Auburn was on probation for paying players in 1957, so it's not like 2010 was the first time.

Because the run d and second half ds were one of the tops in the country

You cant really judge a on one single stat only. there are many facets to a game

Hey. Like I said, I was surprised at the #53 ranking. They just seemed better to me. Any time you win a NC it is something to be proud of.
