Saban went 7-5 his third year at Michigan State. And had compiled an epic 19-18 record is his 4th year as head coach.

Winning a national title in his second year as a head coach would’ve been great — Being only the 3rd SEC coach since 1982 to win the conference championship back to back years would’ve been great. He hasn’t been able to achieve it yet.

Hard to fault the man for his first 36 months as a football coach in the most competitive conference in America.
