This poster can’t be this dumb.

That play right there is never called. If you sprint in from far away and do that you’re getting called.

But the last second kind of *declaration of the play being over* hit is never called.

Idk what to call it. But it’s just never a penalty.

9-1-7 I. After the ball is dead, a player throws himself onto an opponent lying on the ground. RULING: Personal foul. Your own player thought it was a penalty.

I’d say that’s called against manning if the crowd got involved. In fact any home game where the crowd threw boos after that hit has a 60% chance of getting called. I’m glad it didn’t though it was pretty bang bang

See this is why I love the following day after Alabama loses. We get these wild conspiracies on why Alabama lost instead of just accepting you got beat. If you didn’t want the game to come down to the officials (I agree these officials have been dog shite for a while now) then you should have played better. I have been told this EXACT thing whenever Auburn has lost on a shite call or missed call.

Somehow the Middle East is responsible for the sacred Tide losing. Melt

They could have recovered one of the 12 open fumbles and muffed punts we laid on the ground. Just wasn’t their night

I agree, the SEC officiating is awful and inconsistent. It has been that way forever.
The CFP should have their own officiating crews for FBS. Crews should be paid like NFL crews and rotate the entire country and conferences. SEC missed so many calls against Bama last night it was egregious. They also missed the UGA PI, but out of slow motion it was a lot more bang bang. The missed holds were for 2-3 seconds and just ignored the entire game.

The way it’s called, there are always strides to get over to the downed player and then a flop or hit on them.

Whats in that post simply is not called.

The defender is shedding a block fairly close to the area where Stockton goes does.

I’m confident the defender would have actually had to do some type of maneuver to not hit the QB. He could have let up a hit and he definitely gave him the business there.

But that’s never called bro. As in what the Alabama guy did in that exact play would never be called.

I still think that as bad as SEC officials are (and they are bad), they're still better than every other conference's officials. I can't remember a bowl game where we ha officials from another conference where I thought those officials were better than the SEC's.

People have been saying that for decades the day after playing bama.

You just haven't noticed it because bama is usually the beneficiary.

Bingo. They have gotten so accustomed to preferential treatment from both the media and the refs for 2 decades that when they finally get a dose of the same medicine, it feels like discrimination.

I'm not asking how often it's called. We all know officiating is inconsistent. It was a penalty by rule just like that "hold" that is making the rounds is not a hold by rule.

It was a penalty by rule
See, I’m not even sure it is.

You’re interpreting it incorrectly, imo.

There literally has to be some grace given. Otherwise a defender could sprint and jump/dive, a QB could go get under that spot, and when the defender eventually lands on him it’s a flag.

I know that’s a wildly exaggerated example, but it’s just to show you can’t read the rule as if anyone ever lands on a downed player it is a penalty.

You know this.

That long run by bama that set up their first score, was a blatant hold right at the point of attack, without it there is no hole and no gain.

You got a video link or anything?

I wasn't saying Georgia didn't have any, I'm saying I didn't see them.

The ones called against Georgia were extremely obvious.

And please don't do single frame images, they don't show anything.

If you just want to talk about the scoreboard, then congrats Georgia won.

If you want to examine what should be a penalty and what shouldn't be a penalty, then I'm down for that discussion.

There is nothing to melt about, I'm extremely happy with Alabama football right now. I now we can beat any team in the country and our earlier games weren't just a product of playing only above average teams.
