Georgia vs Mississippi State might yield an interesting matchup

Rumor is that JT Daniels is starting the Mississippi State game, whether it be because JT won the job or Stetson is still injured.
What we have here is a classic PAC-12 matchup. Mike Leach and KJ Costello vs JT Daniels.
Last time Leach faced JT was actually one of the better college football games in 2018. USC beat Wazzu 39-36 on a blocked FG. Daniels went 17/26 for 241 yards and 3 TDs.

If Costello starts, then god bless us.

Maybe but Georgia is not USC. On their worst day, they can still "defense".
The best indicator of the future is what's happened in the past. If that holds up, I predict State not scoring a single point against Georgia.
Will make for an uninteresting game unless you're a Dawgs fan.

At this point I'll take this every game from Daniels.

Does it even matter? At this point, everyone just wants to see what Kirby has in the barn. At this point, he could have Secretariat or Frances the Mule.

Though we have not played Georgia too often , one game comes to mind.
During October of 1982, CBS televised the game from Scott Field nationally. UGA had some guy named Herschel Walker playing RB. Obviously, everybody knew about him. State had a RB that few people knew about at the time named Michael Haddix. The game was back forth until late in the 4th quarter with Georgia leading 29-22 and State was driving deep into UGA territory, State QB John Bond fumbled and UGA was able to hang on and preserve the victory.
The State D played great that day, HW’s longest run from scrimmage was 18 yards. Yet he still had about 175 yards on 30+ carries. The guy was a beast and I still maintain he is the best RB in the history of the SEC.
Not to be out done, Michael Haddix matched Herschel yard for yard in that game. Later, he was drafted in the (1983) first round (8th pick) by the Eagles.
That game was one of the best I have ever seen even though we lost. Both teams left it all on the field and it was shame that one team had to lose because both played winning football that day.

There's QB talent at Georgia when it comes through the door. The problem is they don't seem to get coached up properly. If I was Kirby, my first order of business in the offseason would be before doing anything else, get a real QB coach.

This won't be a pretty game, are you sure State has quarantined long enough?

Will Rogers likely starts instead of Costello

I’ll take state and 42.

JT will be 11-16 for 178 yards....Georgia will run 40+ times. 24-14 UGA

You wanna know how I know you haven’t watched a a Georgia game this year?

I think Costello is likely done this season (and possibly at MSU.) I think he's about one more concussion away from hanging it up for good.
I don't think it will be a very interesting game. Something like 24-0 UGA.

Mississippi has a better looking bulldog, but that's the only contest they will win on Saturday, unless Georgia borrows Bo Pellini's defensive game plan.

The Pirate has to be salivating at drawing up plays against our shitty pass defense.

was slated to be interesting until Moorehead was fired. Now only one lesbian head coach meeting at midfield, so, not interesting.

I would be honestly thrilled if this is the outcome
