You came to a SEC site to type all of that? Who are you trying to convince, us or you?

Auburn making fun of the quality of a UGA education? Laughable. Your school has like an 80 percent acceptance rate. Upper middle class kids that can’t go to UGA have to resort to Auburn.

UGA has virtually the same ranking and ACT / GPA scores as GT.

We just have a much better college town, campus, athletics, attractive coeds, social life, and run the state of Georgia.

UGA is the sharp witted and gregarious jock. GT is the indignant nerd who does only slightly better on test scores but still lives in envy.

The haters will be here to shoot you down shortly... I remember when Alabama was ranked 31st among public universities, everyone whined and dismissed the US News And World Report as an illegitimate source..

Can you post a link to Alabama being the 31st highest ranked publIc university overall? How long back was this? They have some departments and concentrations ranked that high; but never the whole university.

And why do you care? Did you not get a job because of what people on this forum thought about your degree.? Oh wait…

Look at the raw scores. UGS scores 71 (out of 100).
GT scores 72. Vandy, the highest ranked SEC school scores 88....

The Citadel Scores 92....

It’s because tech has absolute shite humanities courses and that’s all these rankings care about.

False. In fact you are way off.
These rankings are mostly about the graduate school and research

So you had to hit "load more" like 7 times before you saw LSU, right?

Don't know. Went to LSU to party a few years before transferring to Stanford to get my degree.

Really, it is. What are the criteria? Opinions of other university officials, size of endowments, graduation rates, which if you only select 7% of applicants you're obviously going to have an advantage, grad rates for minorities, and test scores of incoming freshmen. Does any of this speak objectively about the quality of education? If you start with students who score 35 on the ACT, aren't you going to have an easier time of it getting them to graduate and burnish your reputation?

The reality is that as time has passed, GT has become more of a school that is great at a couple things but is behind UGA is most others.

In the hard sciences and engineering, GT is WAY ahead of UGA. GT is one of the top 5 colleges in the nation in those areas.

But where in the past a lot of their other majors were very good... now UGA has passed them in most of them. Things like business, education, social sciences... UGA is the flagship in all those areas (as well as things like medicine, law, and agriculture which they always were ahead of Tech in).

Tech is great... for a tech degree. They're behind UGA in everything else. That wasn't always the case, but things have been moving consistently that way for 20 years now.

You ask if you are better than Tech, and as proof you offer a list that shows you are not…

Must be a UGA flex post.
