The seniors getting another year is kinda fascinating. I hope someone who loves crunching numbers can soon give us an idea of how many scholarship players each SEC team will be counting this next football season. I'm wondering who's gonna be over the 100-mark?

My point remains, Fromm kept him from being a bigger impact player in 2019.
Both were there in 2018 and 2017 and Robertson had significantly less production. And 2020 without Fromm in and needed WRs he disappeared again. Kids a bust, should have stayed out west.

I doubt anyone but I'm assuming we're gonna go through this every year until the '20 freshman class is cycled out since everyone gotta a pass on their eligibility last season.

Robertson was the #3 WR in 2019 and had his best statistical year as a dog....
D-Rob had a kid over the offseason. He spent his entire summer doing daddy shite. When he went into fall camp he told Kirby he hasn’t touched a football.
All this was reported on Georgia boards a long time ago. He wants to go one more year. This time with a true offseason.

Fromm needs big 50/50 guys.
The splits for fromm look great when he has a Javon Wims, Jeremiah Holloman, and Lawrence Cager. Without those guys to bail fromm out, we dont convert enough 3rd downs. Without conversions, no one gets touches.
As for 2020 without Fromm, we recruited Pickens and Blaylock in 2019 and Burton/Rosemy-jacksaint/washington and transferred McKitty in 2020. Big, tough football players who can block on a run play/screen.
Another case in point/similarity for Robertson is Arian Smith (our most explosive player). Eligible for the last 4 games but only got 2 catches for 86 yards. That is 43 yards per catch but only 21 yards per game. The offense isnt going to telegraph passing plays (except for 3rd and long) by a ton of snaps for Robertson/Smith (liabilities in blocking. Despite limited snaps, Robertson probably had 3 or 4 holding calls go against him in 2020. Those are successful runs called back for -10)

Is Blaylock going to be able to go in 2021? 2 ACLs if memory serves.
Blaylock is 6’ 195
Burton is 6’195
Rosemary 6’2 195
Jackson 6’ 200
All pretty much the same size as Robertson. Not really big WRs. Washington is a TE.

He actually tore the graft in the same ACL so recovery should be a good bit more difficult for him, although it apparently seems to be progressing well. Pretty sure I heard that Ron Courson (head trainer) said that it’s the first time in his time at UGA that an athlete has torn a fully healed graft.

Georgia has to capitalize this next season. Alabama and Florida will be back down to earth, even if it's only slightly.

Hopefully he is back by 2022 to full speed physically and mentally. Of the smaller speed guys he was the most clutch.

Pickens
Burton
Kearis
D-Rob
Arian Smith
Darnell Washington

My pants are ruined after typing that out.

The point on Blaylock is the level of talent brought in since 2019 and the type of physical players who are getting more snaps than Robertson.
Will Blaylock be cleared to play 2021? Absolutely. Will he be better than other options? I dont know. Unfortunately, his strengths are his first 3 steps and shuttle drill. Separation and change of direction. Those are often the last things to come back. It could be a situation like Arian Smith where Blaylock makes key plays in November, December, and January in a limited role.

Are you presuming that people of the same size are the same players? Lol
Same strengths and weaknesses?
Same aggressiveness?
Same skill/talent level?
It is one thing to be a sub average blocker. It is another thing to get 4 holding calls in limited reps.

Does the term 11, 12, 13, and 22 mean anything to you? Just a heads up... we ran a lot of 12 personnel (mckitty and fitz / fitz and washington). Better blockers in the run game. Much better with a tight end split wide in the screen game. And better wide open targets off of play action with feint blocking. That means more snaps with Pickens and Burton and no #3 WR.

Blaylock was the best WR on UGAs roster until injury. Two injuries is a bit much to recover quickly and fully. Especially after the second happened the way it did.
Your statement was “bigger” when in fact they are the same size. Robertson was a 5* guy with 767 yards as a freshman so we know he has the ability in the right circumstances to thrive. Infact that 767 yards is more than any UGA WR in the time Robertson was been in college.

Yup. He can thrive on a 5-7 team in the worst conference in the P5 (with the 9th best rushing attack in a piss poor league).

Maybe true yet 100% irrelevant.

So many want to ignore the effect of losing half of this group, not to mention others

Blaylock has a history of returning from an injury and not being affected mentally. In high school he had reconstructive ankle surgery after a severe fracture. 5 months later he earned player of the week honors. Last year he basically rehabbed alone because of the pandemic. Since his 2nd ACL injury he have rehabbed with and expert training staff. Both he and Rosemy-Jacksaint may not be ready to contribute until later in the season.
*Edit*
Welp, apparently DRob is in some legal trouble over removing a parking boot.

So an ankle and an ACL and blew the repaired ACL. That’s asking a lot of an WR in 2 years.
