You just lost to App State, you are miles from our level.

Two fluke wins vs Bama has your head all wrong.

Most delusional people in college football. Probably stems from trying to stay in closets.

You should see some of the rational fanbases on the board. I think people know we’re pretty good.

Interesting take, but completely historically inaccurate. Scheduling in the SEC was effectively free-for-all until 1992. From WW2 until 1965, UGA and Bama played every year. 1966-1991 they played 8 times... but you're wrong in thinking that came from UGA.

Bama didn't play Auburn much until post WW2... so they added them as a team they wanted to play every year then. Starting in 1965 they also decided they wanted to play LSU every year... from ww2 to 1964 they played LSU only 9 times. With that Bama decision, the UGA game ended as a regular thing. UGA ended up having to pick up Ole Miss (a team far away in the SEC map at the time who UGA almost never played before) as a regular opponent because of Bama's move. UGA had no desire for that game.

That's why when the SEC went to divisions, UGA had Auburn and Ole Miss as their permanent opponents (back when we had 2)... because Bama dropped them and Ole Miss was the team they played regularly from the west at that point other than Auburn.

After divisions were formed, the fact UGA was in the opposite division from Bama and had AU and OM as their permanent opponents meant that the games would be scarce.

Georgia Tech left the SEC in 1964, but Georgia kept playing them every year as an OOC game.

Georgia SEC games before 1963: 6
Georgia SEC games in 1964+: 5

Georgia obviously wasn't looking to replace SEC teams that came off their schedule, or in the case of GT, former SEC teams.

bullshite conspiracy theory. Even under Richt, Georgia has never been in a position of having to dodge anyone.

And this, my friends, is yet another example of aggie doing exactly what my other thread titled "things that make aTm unique" is talking about. They think their view of Georgia is horizontal instead of vertical. This is aggie trying to be "we" with Georgia instead of "them". It is a medical condition. Delusion.

This scheduling system is terrible, all because of 4 teams. Teams in the same conference never playing each other is a horrible idea. I hope they go to the 3/6 schedule so each team plays at each school once every 4 years. It took a hurricane and a pandemic to get LSU to play at Missouri in 2020.

I completely disagree.

If playing conference opponents more frequently matters, then you contract the conference. You don't add to it three separate occasions.

This is faux outrage.

There's no conspiracy.

Also, take note that the writer, Matt Hayes, writes for Saturday Down South, a second-tier sports information site with second-tier writers (imo). Matt Hayes was formerly employed and wrote for the Florida Times-Union newspaper in Jacksonville, Florida (his home -- yes, he's a Gator!!). He currently is an on-air sports radio host in Jacksonville.

He's just another whiny Gator complaining about why UGA hasn't yet played @A&M while the Gators have been there multiple times already.

Call it the 'Gators Persecution Complex Syndrome'.
