Georgia ooc schedule screwed them royally.

3 of the committee members could not vote for the final spot. Supposedly OU and UGA was tied on votes and the final protocol called for conference championships to break the tie. One could argue that Oklahoma actually shceduled three teams win a pulse ooc. UGA scheduled zero. Herbie went on finebaum show saying basically the committee rewards teams with better records who don’t schedule tough teams. I think he’s way off his rocker since ohio state didn’t get In and I bet if Ohio state was in he wouldn’t be making these comments. Here are the facts UGA lost its two hardest games to Bama and LSU. I think with just having an average ooc that would have been enough even with the second loss. The model the Sec uses seemed to hurt them this year,!they could have easily beaten a team from a power conference.

No.
Losing to LSU by 20 screwed them.
Their OOC schedule was irrelevant.

Yep. If they'd beaten LSU this wouldn't even be a conversation.

2 losses being greater than 1 is what screwed them. It's what got Bama in over Ohio State last year and it's what has OU in over UGA this year.

Yes. Losing 2 games is what screwed UGA.
Outside of the bed-wetting against LSU, UGA was as dominant as any team not named Alabama throughout the regular season.
Just win your games and you are fine. UGA didn’t and that is why they missed the CFP.

Getting run of the field in an embarrassing fashion by Ed Ogeron is what cost them a playoff spot.

The only sensible thing you've posted in the last month.

This killed our chances if we didn't beat Bama, and we knew it as soon as the game was over. OOC wouldn't have changed one thing, the committee just couldn't justify putting a 2 loss SEC runner up in over 2 one loss conference champions. Especially when Oklahoma avenged there only loss

Why did losing to @ LSU penalize UGA so much? LSU could win the Big 12 conference going away. OU should not be one of the “BEST 4”. Pretty simple fix by going to an eight-team format.

Uga is a better team than Oklahoma.

Might be true. But Oklahoma only has 1 loss, and they beat the team that beat them.

It isn't Ohio State's fault they didn't get to play Purdue again the B1G CG. I think they would have run Purdue off the field.
It isn't Georgia's fault that they didn't get to play LSU again in the SEC CG. I think Georgia would have beaten LSU.

Running a fake punt on 4th and 10 from the 50 with 3 minutes left against a back up QB screwed UGA

I am not certain losing to LSU by 20 in Baton Rouge is worse than being outgained and going to overtime with Army.
