amazing how little people actually undersatnd about the selection process.

We could have replaced austin peay and umass with penn state and texas and it still wouldn't have gotten us in.

Our OOC schedule didn’t screw us - our SoS is one of the highest rated out there and on some metrics is the highest rated SoS and that’s with 3 FCS bullshite games.

Not handling business and playing flat in big games cost us.

Win at LSU and we are in or finish Bama and we are in. Lost both so we are where we deserve to be.

Sagarian's:

?Georgia 6
?Clemson 48
?Alabama 44
?Oklahoma 31
?Notre Dame 42
?Ohio State 40
?UCF 90

2018 overall opponent record:

Georgia 97-60
Clemson 89-66
Alabama 85-72
Oklahoma 82-74
Notre Dame 77-69
Ohio State 75-82
UCF 70-76

Two losses hurt UGA. Schedule was obviously not the issue.

Losing to LSU was the problem and the loss to Bama finished the deal. I do wonder if UGA had beaten Bama would the committee moved Bama to 4 and UGA up to 3.

A two loss team doesn't get in over one loss teams. If UGA were as good as many claimed they wouldn't have two losses. They fielded a solid team this season and gave Bama a good game but that's not enough overcome derping against LSU.

Why did losing to @ LSU penalize UGA so much? LSU could win the Big 12 conference going away. OU should not be one of the “BEST 4”. Pretty simple fix by going to an eight-team format.

It has nothing to do with LSU. It's that they finished with 2 losses.

My only issue with it all, is one team did not play a CCG, Clemson played Pitt which UGA would have obliterated, Oklahoma played Texas ranked 14-15, the horns are not in the same stratosphere as Bama, meanwhile as a number 4 we played a number one team beyond the level of a number 4, we should have at minimum stayed 4. Not all conferences CG are created equal.

Notre Dame, OU, Clemson, Pitt, Northwestern , Ohio State would have all gotten murdered by Bama last weekend.

Its supposed to be the best 4, not the most deserving 4.

It's a shift from old school thinking.

What it will give us is poor ratings for the Playoffs, Bama goes about their business different from us, we played contain the first half of the Rose Bowl, Bama will play to shut down and has the DB and defensive front to destroy OU, I predict a 49-10 affair cut short by Bama choosing to shorten the game. Clemson beats ND 35-10 in a snooze fest. Bama makes Lawrence cry in a 40ish to 10 win in the worst nc location in history for college football.

End result, shite ratings.

I don't think this is true. You've got 3 of the blue bloods of college football in Bama, Oklahoma and Notre Dame, then you have Clemson who has been really good the last 5-6 years. Just having Alabama in one game and Notre Dame in the other is going to get good rating, and then the championship is going to get good ratings.

I really think the reason we got left out is because the committee couldn't justify having Bama and Georgia play back to back games thinking it would loose revenue. I think they fricked up cause I think more people would of tuned in to the saga of does Georgia find a way to loose again LOL. Seriously this is the reason we go left out, prove me wrong.

That is hard to believe because OU hasn't played one team worth a damn. Maybe WVU, which is just a clone of them with zero defense at all

Their schedule was a joke this year

Heres Georgia Schedule

Austin Peay
S Carolina
Middle Tenn
Missouri
Tenners
Vandy
LSU
Florida
Kentucky
Auburn
UMass
G Tech
Bama

At some point the three horseshite wins over teams you pay millions to beat are going to hurt you if you lose the two biggest games you play

Luckily Kentucky was good this year or that schedule kind of sucks

The SEC is doing it right in this day in age where they are basically playing three absolute shite teams while other conferences only play two and ND plays like one.

Im ok with Georgia being left out. they lost twice and there isn't one win on that schedule that makes you worthy to overcome that

That can be said of Oklahoma too. Their best win was over an 8-4 Texas. UGA beats Oklahoma in every single metric, strength of schedule, strength of record, game control, efficiency, etc.

Yeah but they only lost once and won the conference. So that ends it. Georgia lost twice.

They had their chance. This mulligan stuff needs to end for the good of college football.

I get sick of hearing this team would get killed or that team. Who knows?

Will Oklahoma not give up 21 straight points to Bama like the great Gerogia Bulldogs. Does that make then Moral Victory Champs

Georgia lost twice. Quit whining. Its someone else turn. I almost have respect for Ohio State now. At least they aren't crying. They have just as much a legit beef as Gerogia, Okla too

Close games create strong ratings, mismatches cause people to tune out.

Our shite game was versus a team with the talent to beat us, not Kansas, Army, Oklahoma State, and what ever other sister of the poor Oklahoma struggled with

Whats Georgia's Florida?

Florida will get mashed in by Michigan. Again

Kentucky will get beat Penn State. Ohio State beat both of those teams. They aren't whining

They all have issues and they all have positives.

Georgia isn't unequivocally better than any of those teams in the playoffs. Could they beat them in a game. Yes. could they lose. yes

At this point they had their chance and they lost. Enough
