The reality is UGA has at best two games that can be considered "toss-ups" next year. Those would be Bama and Texas.
Ole Miss, Tennessee, Clemson... those are games UGA should win. They're not toss ups.
If UGA loses to both Texas and Bama, they'll likely NOT make the SECCG and will be in the playoff at 10-2, likely sitting at 8th or 9th in the pre-playoff poll (note: That's where Mizzou was sitting this past season at 10-2).
Now UGA could lose to other teams as well. But let's be realistic... if UGA is bad enough to lose to Tennessee or Ole MIss they simply wouldn't have been very good on the whole. The Bama game wouldn't have mattered as it wasn't the low end of the games UGA would have lost. The loss to Ole Miss or Tennessee would be the one that "got" UGA.
The line has moved from the idea that UGA could have been "playoff level" good but get damaged by a loss to Bama, to simply saying that a 3-loss UGA team would be bad for UGA.
Yes, a 3-loss UGA season would be detrimental to UGA.
A season with a regular season loss to Bama that has UGA finish 11-1 and make the playoff won't be any different than a 11-1 season with a win against Bama (and say a loss to Texas).
Individual regular season games mean almost nothing. All that matters is the record at the end. Due to having 12 teams, there won't be any close monitoring on if team a beat team B. They'll all get in.

I get the idea listening to Smart and UGA players that every game is a must win game. Probably plays a large role in the fact that they have lost 2 games in 3 seasons.

Speaking of whistling past the graveyard.

While this is true, there is one example of the UGA coaching staff not treating a game as "must win".
That would be the SECCG in 2021 against Bama. For UGA to have a shot to come back and win that game, they would have needed to make a QB change. Stetson was playing poorly and JT Daniels had a bigger arm that could have given them a shot to win (Doesn't mean they would have, it just would have given them a shot).
The problem is it would have made it hard to go back to Stetson afterwards, win or lose.
But at that point, the results in the Big 12 title game already pretty much locked UGA into getting a playoff spot. So Smart "showed confidence" in Stetson and left him in the game, banking on that helping UGA in the playoff despite pretty much giving up on winning the SECCG.
And it worked. Stetson was great against Michigan in round 1 and against Bama in round 2 of the playoff. But a coach doesn't make that move if they felt like the SECCG was a "must win".

I bet this isn’t the first season for which you predicted the downfall of Kirby. Safe to assume you predicted it after 17,18,20,21, and 22, which means you lost your credibility long ago.

While it is true that you would get in, the top 4 teams will receive a bye and probably more favorable match ups, putting them at a significant advantage, so the regular season still matters.

I didn't say the regular season didn't matter. It's not like going 10-2 is easily accomplished.
I simply said the results of an individual game in the regular season won't matter.
UGA at 11-1 with a loss to Bama is no different than if the loss were to Texas, Ole Miss or Georgia Tech. The 11-1 in the regular season is what matters.
As for the byes, they require conference championships which aren't regular season games. You have to be good enough in the regular season to make the SECCG to have a shot at the bye. It really won't matter that much who your losses are to. It's mainly about the number. But yeah, if UGA and Bama were tied with the same record and Bama beat UGA, Bama would likely get the SECCG nod.
And UGA could still win the national title which would make the rest of it fairly irrelevant.

Let’s watch basketball, baseball, golf, and The Masters, PGA championship ,US Open, NBA finals, Stanley Cup, Wimbledon; then the first few games of the college football season before we declare a “must win” game.

*Yawn* this must be the new 1980 right??
I'm sure that until UGA and Bama face off with 100% healthy rosters, coaching staffs, and a good horoscope to boot, that some Bama fans will still be crying that UGA finally beat them

After reading that big long post of nonsense, I can safely say your board name should be changed to Anti-psychotic, as in, I need to be on Anti-psychotic medication.

Ole Miss is loaded, Kiffin will probably field his best team by far and he has Georgia at home. He's got his QB back and added all kinds of players through the portal.
Ole Miss is a threat.

Taint Licker, you don't like what I had to say. Tough. You might like how this season turns out even less.
What will you all do if what I am saying comes to pass? There is a realistic shot of it, and your black little hearts know it.
I can hear it now.......Fire the coach!!!!!

Eh. Ole Miss was the #9 team in the nation this past season and UGA beat them 52-17.
The talent discrepancy between UGA and Ole Miss is large enough that even with good coaching and play calling it will rarely be enough. And UGA has their QB back as well.
Texas and Bama have the talent to be on an even playing field with UGA. The rest of UGA's schedule will have to overcome a significant talent deficit to beat them.
It's possible, but it's why UGA will be heavily favored in those games.
