I promise I'll be here explaining away if we lose, even if it's by 50.

Genuinely curious, no trolling, what happened? I haven't watched it yet.

A lot happened. We left points all over the field:

Our center got manhandled the whole game, led to one fumble on a snap at the SC 30. That was one potential FG attempt that never happened.

We had a 53 yard FG blocked, and Smart chose against attempting 2 55 yard FG's, including one to win the game, so thats a total of 4 potential FG attempts that led to zero points.

Fromm threw his 1st pick 6 ever, while Hillinski threw a long TD pass for SC's only offensive TD.

In OT, a pass ricocheted out of the hands of our WR into an INT, but SC couldnt make the game winning FG, and in the 2nd OT, our kicker missed a 42 yarder to end the game after they made theirs.

Thats how you lose when you have 14 more first downs, and almost 200 more yards, than the oppnent.

The ol' Muschamp curse. That guy has some bizarre statistics in his career. I think Missouri was beating us 42 - 0 at one time and had a total of 119 yards for the entire game. If you need something to make you laugh.

This is one of the things that drove me crazy about Muschamp, too. His insanely conservative play despite the odds. Georgia may have the best kicker in the country (they probably do statistically), you have to give the kid a chance even if one got blocked.

The rest just sounds absolutely brutal. I think it's fortunate for Georgia to just get that type of game out of the way now, though, rather than a time when it matters.

There was also the play in which Hillinski got hurt. Very similar to what happened to Trask, with the OL pushing the defender into the leg. This time, they called a personal foul, and instead of SC punting from their 16, they were given a first down, and flipped the field position, so a potential 5th FG attempt gone. Just a weird day, and I do hope we got all of that out of the way as our game could be for the east.

I've seen Florida teams completely collapse after a loss like that, but I've also seen Championship teams bounce back.

I don't really have faith in Georgia's coaching staff at the moment, but anything can happen -- this might be the spark that Georgia needed to light the fire.

We responded well to our regular season losses of 2017 and 2018, so there is reason for hope, but neither loss was to a team as bad as SC or at home. Should be another top 10 game in Jax.

Another moral victory post! You guys are leading the country in QB playing better than anyone thought they would in a 2 touchdown loss. Print the shirts.

Geez, whatever happened to one fanbase at a time? We taking on UGA already?

You would too if you lost to South Carolina at home against their 3rd string quarterback.

They don't have the same passion as most of the other schools. I've seen Georgia fans sit back and support mediocrity for decades. Sure, they got excited when it was popular to think Georgia was elite. But, in the end, a game like Saturday really doesn't hurt their fanbase in the same way it hurts others.

It's why their offensive approach persists. There is no outside pressure. And, if you actually ask a Georgia fan if it's a problem, he'll give you the company line.

They've absolutely wasted D'Andre Swift relative to his talent. They pretend his lack of production is because they have 5 top backs.

Consider the average melt in the SEC of a team that refuses to put its best player in good positions to succeed (with the concensus top OL as well), chooses Jake Fromm over Justin Fields, and then proceeds to throw the ball 52 times with Fromm in a home loss against a below average team. Compare that to what we see out of Georgia.

There’s not much to say. Offense played a horrific game. Hard to win with a -4 turnover differential.

Swift’s number of touches isn’t the problem at the moment.

We are still here but I am getting that 2013 & 2014 feeling that says Missouri has a legitimate chance at winning the east

I think it just feels that way since the one UGA alter hasn’t started 15 threads yet today about whatever happens to be on his mind at any given time.

Also, Kirby is 7-0 after a regular season loss so I’m not going to panic unless we lose to Kentucky.

They will just celebrate recruiting when they get a commit that Bama actually wanted.

Buck Belue can rest easy and continue to make money off being the ONLY former UGA QB still alive....can you feel me
