UGA would know more considering your dumpster fire programs in 2 of the 3 major sports. Oops.

When they change the rules and make baseball exciting I might show some interest. Sitting around for hours while the coach, pitcher and refs delay the game to talk endlessly isn’t for me. Boring!

Holding on to a guy that had a losing SEC record for 10 years says otherwise. I would say that's a place that doesn't emphasize being "elite" in baseball.
Almost any SEC school would be elite if the emphasis was there. A really good coach should be interested in the Georgia job but it depends on where they are. East Carolina guy might be the option but I have no idea if he would even be interested.

Georgia has pledged a ton of money to the baseball program. Someone in Athens thinks it’s important. I don’t

1, baseball might just not be for you. It's not a fast-paced game like basketball, it's a way to relax and enjoy something for about 3 hrs. It's kinda like a barbeque, or an outdoor music fest. You chill and absorb the experience. Some folks just are unable to do that.
2, you really haven't paid attention this year. There ARE rules to prevent endless delays. There is a pitch clock, and a clock that runs for manager visits to the mound. Those in combination do a great job of keeping the game moving along.

He thinks basketball doesn't matter either (because of course UGA fans think so).

Jokes on you, east TN is a coke franchise so you can’t get Pibb Xtra here(I actually like pibb xtra and bootleg it from Ga and Kentucky every other month) and Fresca is now Starry soda.

Correct but is designed to compete with the Snapple product Dr Pepper. Both Pepsi and Coke lease the rights to produce Dr Pepper and since it sells better it is bottled and sold by Coke in Coke franchises. Pibb Xtra is only sold in Pepsi franchise areas to compete with Dr Pepper.
I like it enough to go to the local Coke bottlers in Knoxville is ask why I can’t get it locally.
Snapple owns 7UP, Sunkist, RC Cola, and a few more and lease the bottling rights to other companies depending on the market.

I did the same thing in Bham when I moved here from Atlanta in 2003, except I was going to grocery stores and complaining about why I couldn’t get real grits (ie, not instant or quick) without driving to Nashville or Atlanta
I went to just about every Puggly Wiggly and Winn Dixie in the area; and they DID start carrying old fashioned grits a few weeks later - and they still have them
I couldn’t have been the only one complaining, but I was shocked that I couldn’t find them when I moved here…

I drive up to Kentucky and buy out Walmart and any grocery stores I can or down 411 to Georgia and fill up the Tahoe with 12 packs and 6 pack bottles (getting hard to find). I even offered to bribe a coke delivery guy to bring it to me by the pallet. I don’t drink many sodas but Pibb xtra and orange Fanta(the NAZI drink) are the only ones I actively seek out. Usually it’s just water.
In Maryville the only places to get it are Salsarita’s and the cookie shop in the mall. And it’s pretty much that way for 2 hours in any direction.

The payoff is Tennessee fans have year round sports to enjoy.
All that money and no trophies to show for it.

I guess I could root for Arkansas and enjoy a dumpster fire in every sport.
Well, at least you've got top notch academics.
Whoops.
