I can understand why Georgia fans don't want to look at any metric that looks at schedule...

Tennessee State
Western Kentucky
Arkansas
Oklahoma
Vanderbilt

YEESH.

SOS, per Sagarin: 86th
MIAMI has played a tougher schedule than Georgia.

I'm not saying Georgia sucks, but it's not hard to be at or near the top of the defensive categories when the most explosive offense you've faced is Vandy... and the best defense, Oklahoma, might be tough but is horrid at generating turnovers.

No one said this. I certainly didn't. You seem irrationally emotional.

Then why point out the first 5 opponents?

If they are irrelevant, then they are irrelevant. It is that simple.

Or are you still griping about Indiana's 2025 schedule?
Or Ohio State's 2024 schedule?

UGA - 24
Bama - 21

Bama scores three times on play-action deep balls, But UGA manages a long drive each quarter, of course with the 3rd one or so stalling out in a FG.

Final drive we convert 2 4th downs and punch it in by the thinnest of margins for error, with no time remaining and Bobo’s crayons all broken and down to nubs

According to NCAA.com...

Georgia has the #7 total defense while Alabama is #40.
Georgia has the #22 total offense while Alabama is #25.

For comparison, LSU has the #2 total defense and #3 total offense.

Alabama 49
Georgia 17

I have to give Georgia credit here and believe that they will be able to hold Bama under their 49.6 points per game.

Georgia gets rattled again, as they always do due to their coach not knowing how to prepare them for the ultimate high stakes game. At least 3 interceptions by Bama's defense and likely one fumble recovery.

The weather will be a factor only to the detriment of Georgia. Alabama's players are mudders. Their fathers are mudders and their mothers are mudders and their whole family comes from mudders so they are truly at home and relaxed playing in the mud.

Because someone brought up UGA's stats and didn't include the fact those stats were collected against a handful of middle school teams. This isn't complicated.

Is anyone going to tell me because you shut down Oklahoma and held Vandy scoreless in the 2nd half last week, UGA is totally doing that to Alabama?

Alabama destroyed East Carolina therefore Bama 49 UGA 10. Make it make sense, Georgia Man.

You are right.
None of the Bama stats are relevant for Saturday either.
Do you disagree?

I don't.

All I can tell is Alabama is pretty good on offense and UGA is pretty good on offense.

UGA is pretty good on defense and Alabama is pretty good on defense.

Which is why my first post in this thread referred to whoever wins turnover margin, wins the game.

Low SoS doesn't mean you suck.

It means you are unproven.

These stats don't take opponents into account. Do you think scoring 7 points against the LSU defense is equal to scoring 7 points against the UTEP defense?

LSU has the #28 offense and #5 defense in opponent adjusted stats with garbage time removed.

Sure.
Hold on to that about the defense.

Let's just adjust the stats.
If we adjust all AL stats for talent equity, AL might be 0-5

I heard (unverified) that the winner of the turnover battle has won all of these games with Kirby v Bama except the 2018 SECCG where Bama came back late to win.

Hold on to what?

Do you understand what unproven means?

If you want to look at opponent adjust stats, Georgia is still ranked highly. #4 offense and #2 defense.

It means that they haven't done it before. Except that these are the same players from 2025 who won the SECCG as first year starters.

Well, one could point out the last time we saw that defense from last season against comparable competition, UGA was shredded for 473 yards and 39 points.

So, does that count or all these games against Tenn State, Western Kentucky and Arkansas count more?

Does any of this indicate any kind of pAtTrEn here of which I should be aware?

You know, you are a good argument that Chicken isn't biased towards making LSU look good.

Because if he was, he'd have banned you a long time ago for the embarrassment you cause that fan base.
