Well, one could point out the last time we saw that defense from last season against comparable competition, UGA was shredded for 473 yards and 39 points.

Is it easier to say that 2026 UGA defense is more similar to 2025 UGA defense?

As opposed to comparing 2026 Bama's offense where all of the bama fans acknowledge that the first 5 games were not a defensive test as more similar to 2025 Ole Miss team?

Who is stretching things here?

It means that they haven't done it before. Except that these are the same players from 2025 who won the SECCG as first year starters.

Really? So you didn't lose any veteran players off the defense?

That's impressive...if you aren't full of shite.

Look up the 2026 nfl draft.
We are deeper at DL, LB, and DB and way more top heavy with first round talent than 2025.

Yes. It is impressive. Very impressive.
2026, UGA is the youngest team in the conference that just so happens to also return the most defensive production.

Oh, sounds like you are full of shite about it being the same defense.

I knew you lost 4 veteran starters before I posted. I was being sarcastic because you were obviously full of shite.

I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not.

Instead of getting all defensive, go back a few pages and read through this little segment again.

Dawgfanwhatever, then you came running to his defense because apparently pointing out UGA's opponents really upset you.

Georgia gets rattled again, as they always do due to their coach not knowing how to prepare them for the ultimate high stakes game.

Some of the more "special" Alabama fans are joining the conversation this week. Apparently, a regular season game against Alabama in early October is the "ultimate high stakes game." I previously was under the impression that a national championship game is the ultimate high stakes game, and Kirby's been in the last two of those in the SEC, and his teams won both of them by at least two touchdowns, including one against Alabama.

UGAs lack of a pass rush is not good for their secondary against Keelon.

From what i've seen from bama's ESPN highlights, Stockton might have a chance to do some damage.

The only starter was Daylen Everette.
And it is significant. But it literally is 1 spot.

We rotate 2 deep on DL and linebacker. With matchups and injuries, all of the returning 2025 players have starts and heavy snaps.

We are stronger at DL and linebacker in 2026.
Ellis Robinson IV and KJ Bolden are first round players in the secondary for 2026. The rest of the secondary is arguably the same as 2025. But it is arguable. There is drop-off from Everette.

No way either D gives up that many points IMO. With the weather, I say it’ll be a low score either way. If I had to pick UGA 24-Bama 13
