re: Georgia -6.5 vs Ohio State - shouldn't this be -17.5?

Ryan Day is going to make Kirby's merry band of monkeys dance like a hoe down. UGA players tip toeing around like ballet dancers, confused and pushed around, out ran, out classed. This is absolutely going to be a blow out. UGA has had too many close calls this year to consider themselves elite. This is a vulnerable team that is about to get exposed by commensurate talent. And it is probably going to be really ugly, like WillyT said. A total blowout. Buckeyes win it all.

Help me understand what Vegas is thinking here.
Vegas uses analytics to help them set the spread. Most of the betting is coming in on UGA hot and heavy so far. Don't know about the money though, which is what Vegas is looking at. Hard to believe there would be a lot of sharps taking OSU for less than +7.5 though.

While your protest is duly noted, only on-field results are accepted.

Your statement makes no sense.
They would make UGA an even bigger favorite if they want people to bet on OSU instead.

I mean we saw the Kent St, Mizzou and Kentucky game for UGA as well.
Both teams have shown weaknesses and have similar talent on their rosters so it’s not shocking to see a one score prediction

They can predict a TD spread all day long. Dawgs win this one by 17+ easily.

You're right. I got it backwards.

I still fail to see how the Kent St and Kentucky games are seen as weaknesses for UGA.
Those games were never in doubt.
UGA outgained Kent St 529 yards to 281.
UGA won by 3 scores bleeding the clock in the 2nd half (0 punts all game).
There is some "narrative" about Kent St that keeps getting repeated but it has 0 meaning and no one can explain why it gets included.
UGA outgained Kentucky 363 yards to 295. The game was close because UGA only had 9 possessions all game (3 in the first half with scores all 3 times). The 9th possession was the victory formation.
We score on 4 out of 8 possessions.
Kentucky scored once in the 4th quarter (with a failed 2 point attempt).
And for all of the issues we had against Missouri, we finished the game with tactical precision (much like against Bama in the NCG). There really isn't a lesson to be learned for any opposition from the Mizzou game other than to look out for Stetson and the offense with nothing to lose.

I nominate this drivel for worst post of the 2000s.

Yes, it should. This game might be competitive for a quarter.

I was just thinking what line I would have to have to bet on tOSU. 17.5 is about right.
for the record though I did take UGA-6.5 for about $5k
the best points people have made is that since Ohio state lost, they will be emotionally jacked up - but this is the playoffs, and it's in Atlanta. UGA is going to be jacked as well you can believe that.

The biggest knock on the Dawgs in 2022 is that they have played down to inferior competition.
tOSU in a CFP semifinal with a shot at defending the National Championship trophy is NOT a recipe for sleepwalking. Kriby will have had 4 weeks to treat the Georgia secondary like worthless animals after the garbage time yardage given up in the SECCG.
We'll be fine.

I actually agree with meansunny here. There is NOTHING for Ga to be ashamed about in that Kent St. game, damn! Kent St. placed nine dudes on the All-Mac Conference teams, and they played a tough arse schedule, one that prevented them from being in a Bowl Game, too.
Ga had advantages in their favor. They played in their stadium on their carpet with their heat & humidity. Had that game been played in Kent in November, it would have come right down to the wire, for real. Not to mention, the Pug Dogs got home cooking, too, as only 2 penalties were called on Ga the entire fukking game...that's BS!
You put Kent St. in the SEC East and give them Ga's schedule, they would have been fighting the Smokey Mutts and the Roosters for Bowl positions...and had the Ga game been in Kent, they could have played l$u in the sec championship, for real!

Michigan hasn’t played for a championship since Bill Clinton was president. No one gives a frick about your opinion. You guys got butt fricked by Georgia last year and will be butt fricked again in Los Angeles if you can get by TCU.
And then we won’t hear from you for another year until you guys come back for your annual beat down. You shouldn’t even be allowed to comment on this board if you haven’t won a championship in the last 25 years.

It should be lower because you are on an SEC site. But it was uncreative and too wordy for a shitpost.
I do love Michigan's hope.
Last year was a little bit of a letdown because Michigan was "just happy to be there". Crushing their hope this season with a similar game result will bring a little more joy to dawgnation.
