I wasn't trying to prove anything, I was just linking a previous comment to avoid retyping it to fit this context.
And you are correct, I know very little about anything behind the scenes since he got to Georgia, and was just sharing what I do know to be facts in regards to his reputation being somehow unfounded.
You certainly have the right to not believe anything I say (or anything you read on a message board).

Really? You post a "link" to yourself and others posting unsubstantiated bullshite on the RANT?
THIS is your proof?
This place is such a cesspool

Yeah, that's bullshite. They may be framing it that way now, but unless he's matured exponentially since getting to college, it's not true.
He's immature.
Source? Me.

Pickens is a beast. If he can stay focused he has HOF potential. It's hard to name another WR in CFB that has a better catch radius than him.

But, you said that he had had problems before then posted a link of you saying that he had had previous problems! What was the purpose of the link?
quote:My comment about not knowing stuff behind the scenes was not meant especially for you. I mean, we don't know anything, either. Everything is kept pretty hush, hush. But nothing has been made public, so I would guess he has not been arrested, or anything like that. I mean almost every team has players arrested for SOMETHING almost every year. Him not having been arrested at least says he is not too much of a problem....other than being immature, which is pretty much a given and proven. (Water bottle) I just find the water bottle incident kind of funny that so many were upset about it. How many times have we all seen a player come off the field and take a bottle and pour it all over their own head. Immature? Absolutely. Thuggish (which I have seen some posters say) absolutely not.

quote:Can you give specifics as to the problems he has and? I mean, I would especially pay attention to stuff while in college, but interested in specific things while in HS.

(I wasn't trying to be argumentative, although I guess I was)

There is the key. he needs to grow up fast. Here's hoping his talent isn't squandered.

Burton is going to be special now that there's a qb who can let him stretch the field
I was surprised at his breakout game last week. I hope he can continue that. Our fastest receiver has been out all year. (Arian Smith) He played a couple of snaps last week, but looks like he could be coming back very soon. He should open the passing game up even more. I am guardedly optimistic about our passing game going forward. I am not quite ready to crown Daniels as king of the hill, just yet, but I sure am hoping he is.

No worries.
I don't want to drag the guy through the mud. I really do wish him the best, because he has an amazing future if he gets his mind right, and I love to watch him play.
In hindsight, I probably should've just stayed out of it.
You're right, there are issues with players on every team, and I didn't mean to imply that his was a unique situation.

Nah. At least you are voicing an honest opinion and not just trolling. I can respect that.

It was definitely funny, but people are so caught up in trying to take the moral high ground that they had to pretend it was so awful.
