I for one welcome it back. It’s an iconic chant and the racial undertones were in the 1800s. It’s a completely different world now and we shouldn’t be whitewashing traditions and chants that make sports great. The tomahawk chop, the Washington commanders, etc. when does the ridiculousness stop. Everyone is offended by something nowadays and I’m excited that UF decided this mattered enough to bring back.

I quit giving a shite a long time ago. We need to bring back Col Reb. Hell, most of our black recruits post that logo on Xwitter now anyway.

Literally have never, ever heard anyone claim it is racist in real life...guess what..black guys and girls attend up games too..and they all do the chomp...never seen a Gator fan mad we were doing it.....at all.

Can some Florida fan explain these "racial undertones" to a simple chant about being bait for the mascot? I've seen this mentioned numerous times but can never figure out what makes it racial in the least bit

I try to tell people, it wasn't racist at all. The only reason black ppl were used instead of whites was the simple fact that alligators prefer dark meat.
