Less about the starter's last name than about a coach who decided he could not afford to look like an idiot if (when?) Gatewood got meaningful playing time and effectively moved the offense. Then there would be uncomfortable questions about the preseason starter decision and failure to develop yet another QB.

I wonder how the team feels about Nix? I know in 2017 the skill position players at Bama we’re getting frustrated when they seen a guy who was the backup outperform Jalen everyday in practice

I’m sure Auburn is going to heavily restrict his transfer options. I doubt he is able to transfer to a place like UF.

We saw this coming as Nix struggled the whole LSU game, Gatewood getting jerked & being yelled NO disrespectfully back to the sideline on his goal line package.

Not everything on here is a shite post. Was just saying I think Gatewood would have converted a few series for you guys where Nix struggled.
Gus will absolutely be blamed, but if Nix turns into the next Burrow it will all quickly be forgotten.
