Bring it on boys. That’s a well earned ribbing on my part. Just damn.

Based on the way the SEC has performed, it would not be shocking. At least Auburn got an SEC tournament championship out the season, only the third time ever. That’s high cotton by Auburn basketball standards.

Built for March

I was reliably informed Kentucky is built for March. They assured us the SEC tournament was meaningless. We heard how deserving Big Blue was of that shiny 3 seed, way more so than other SEC teams. Cal’s boys got a great draw and should be penciled in for a Final Four berth.

The Bluegrass Tradition continues…doing less with more.
This is a terrible take and you should delete it. UT has tools. With a little luck, the SEC has several teams capable of an Elite 8 run. Those include UT, Bama, UK, Auburn, and perhaps Florida.

The T cost one point. UT already had possession, and didn’t score after the technicals. Knect only made 1 of the free throws.

If you want to go after Bruce, at least blame the zone defensive calls while up 8. Knect got in rhythm and torched Auburn for 25 of his 39 from that point forward.

Some coaching decisions don’t work out. UT was already in double bonus and Bruce was trying to save some fouls. It didn’t work.

In all, if its true, its a good thing Auburn did not hire him as head coach like so many wanted.

Every program needs casual fans, and needs them in significant numbers to be elite. But casual fans (like those that insisted Auburn promote a former superstar player without coordinator experience to run a 9 figure sports enterprise) should never be near the actual decision-making process. What a colossal misstep that would have been. Thankfully, cooler and more experienced heads prevailed in that decision.

This is all going to be fine in time. For now it’s just another reason for the competition to laugh at Auburn. Culture changes don’t usually come without rock bottom. Hopefully Auburn is close to turning the corner.
Not sure I would want to claim this year seeing it is the worst overall crop of SEC quarterbacks in a generation.
It’s not that hard. This is what happens when a sleepy college town filled with cocooned suburban kids overbuilds housing units and then responds to the wailing of developers/landlords with unprecedented Section 8 approvals.

But those are statements from the athletic director, president, and trustees for FSU/Clemson very publicly stating that they are going to figure out how to get out of the ACC

This is not about getting out of the GOR. Rather it is saber rattling by the ACC football schools to force the ACC minnows into an unequal revenue distribution model. Getting a bigger slice of the ACC revenue pie shrinks the money gap between Clemson/FSU and the B1G/SEC.

There is precedent for such a distribution model. Doing so in the ACC is in the interest of the minnows when the alternative is irrelevancy should the football schools find a way out.
Some will literally justify the unjustifiable while still not measuring up.

Go Aztecs. You are likely going to the Final Four and your players just redeemed a college basketball season that could have been forever tarnished. Your service will not be forgotten.

Was it worth it Nate Oates? Your reputation is forever lost. You are a mercenary that sold your credibility for a chance to win a title, but instead get a freaking sweet 16 appearance.

I’m genuinely sorry for a couple of Bama hoops fans. But most of you assholes deserve this loss. Choke on it bc there is not a more corrupt fan base in all of college sports.

Miles and Davis didn’t get in the back seat of Millers car

Curious where you think the gun exchange took place, and just who told the cops about the heat and head conversation? Hint, it was not Miles or Davis that told them those details.
quote:

There is no evidence that Miller knew there was even an altercation going on, no evidence he saw the text about the gun, had any idea anything was going to happen other than picking up his friends from a bar.

Brandon Miller sat in his car (per his attorney, BM never left it) and listened to his boys in the back seat talk about a shooting. Then he watched Davis get out and empty 8 shots into an occupied vehicle. He then sped away, yet NEVER called the police to report what he witnessed or that someone may need medical assistance. But sure. He’s a real choir boy.

Those quotes are going to look great hanging on the wall of his State Farm office. Or is it Nationwide?
And yet the choir boy, after sitting in the front seat and listening to his boys plan a shooting, then watching Davis empty 8 shots into an occupied vehicle, sped away and didn't even bother to call the cops to report what he saw. Some one needed medical attention after all. Regardless of legal jeopardy, there is no misconception that Brandon Miller a garbage human being.

Class and Tradition

It’s the Bama way and they are still following a very old playbook. The fanbase has been groomed to ignore the most antisocial of behaviors.

November 1981

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama fullback Ken Simon, charged with firing a shotgun at two law students, will remain on the team and play Saturday against fifth-ranked Penn State, Coach Bear Bryant said Wednesday.

Simon is free on $2,000 bond. The Montgomery junior allegedly fired at the car of the law students after a near traffic accident last week.

'The university police investigated and came to my office the next day and explained it to me and told me that none of our rules and regulations had been violated, including the (team) curfew,' said Bryant.

'A little while after that, Kenny came to see me and explained it to me about the same way and I didn't see anything he had done wrong except that I thought he used very poor judgment,' said Bryant in his weekly news conference.

Bryant said Simon offered to quit the team, but he decided not to accept his offer.

'I came to the conclusion that he is innocent of any wrongdoing as far as our department is concerned,' said Bryant. 'I am very proud to say that I'm going to stick by him just like any parent would his son.'

4. Identify when Miller/Bradley reached out to LEO or visa versa.

We already know the answer to this question from the Miller attorney's statement. "As soon as he was notified that someone had been injured and the police wished to speak with him, he has fully cooperated with law enforcement's investigation."

This is grounds enough for Alabama to expel Brandon Miller. He listened in as Miles/Davis discussed a crime in the back seat of his car. He watched as Davis fired 8 rounds into an occupied vehicle. He sped away from the scene. Never once did he think to call 911 to report a crime that he was uniquely positioned to observe until after he found out the cops wanted to speak with him. Any reasonable person that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time is making that call without question.

Brandon Miller fully cooperated with authorities because he has nothing to hide.

OR…he fully cooperated with authorities after getting university facilitated access to top shelf legal counsel. He perhaps needed that because…

1. he knowingly delivered the ‘joint’ to a teammate involved in a confrontation.

2. he sat in his car and listened to the ‘heat’ and ‘head’ conversation going on in his backseat (probably this conversation is on record bc Miller told police)

3. Fled the scene of a murder, perhaps with someone in his vehicle who was eventually charged with the crime.

4. Did not speak to police about what he saw until realizing they wanted to talk to him.

Miller had nothing to hide if those things are false. Or he had much to hide if they are true, thus he had reason to be a cooperating witness.
