A&M's unquestioned weakness is the ability to defend an offense similar to their own i.e. LaTech. They don't have the ability, right now, in the secondary to cover a reciever as talented as Patton. Mix in a QB like Cameron who excels in running that scheme to perfection and it's no wonder they gave up 57 points. No question A&M's depth on the interior D-line is a concern but the starters(Mathis, Nealy, Ennis) have proven they can hold their own against the LSU's and Florida's. Mix in Moore at end and Stewart and Porter plugging gaps, and the defense is much more suited at loading up to stop the run. I wholeheartedly agree that Alabama runs better than LSU and Florida and that if A&M's offense turns it over ala LSU, the front 7 will wear out quickly and get pummeled up front. Still, IMHO the scheme of A&M's defense and the surprising play of the top 3 rotation on the inside has them much better suited to slow down an offense like Alabama's compared to LaTech.

DaMontre Moore is a better defender than anything you have on your team. Why does that bother you? It isn't saying that A&M's defense is better, simply 1 out of 11 players. Why do Bama fans get so upset by that?

I was just thinking maybe he could lend it to Manziel since he will never win one. I mean AJ will have 3 in a few months. Thats too many to actually wear.

ok. thats a valid point.
but Bama has never been a team that likes to run up and down and all around the field hoping to tire the other team out. Bama lines up and punches you in the mouth. And they hit a lot harder than La Tech.

McCarron had an off night vs. LSU, no doubt. That happens. Because of 1 bad game some suckers r believing he can't play. Keep believing that. We shall see tomorrow.

ok. thats fair to say that the A&M defense might be less suited to deal with a "scheme" like La Tech as opposed to the "scheme" Bama runs. different schemes make for interesting games and some teams are better suited to play against certain schemes. However, players make the real difference in the game and Bama has much much better players at every position than La Tech.

McCarron sucks. He's a less talented Landry Jones, and is asked to do half of what Landry does. Both are missing something between the ears.

A&M has lead the nation in sacks the last two years(don't know what it is at now, but DaMontre has to be leading in something significant), but they give up a ridiculous numbers through the air because the defensive backs are by far our weakest point. A pass happy spread exploits our weakness far more than a balanced attack.
