Can confirm. My idiot nephew works in the football ops building and Nuss was in a boot and using a scooter yesterday [8/9].

With Brennan looking terrible in practice, does Daniels win the job by default?

If Daniels could get a bit more accurate, he could maybe be a Blake Sims type qb. That’s not too shabby.

Guess we'll see if he's practicing today.

i mean if it’s true he’s in a boot and scooter you gotta think he’ll be out at least a couple weeks which will highly decrease his chances of winning the job, right?

And that is precisely why you bring in an experienced QB in the portal

Hope he recovers quickly and fully

The perfectly healthy QB who sat out their bowl game and watched them get smashed by KSU.

From my experience around elite athletes, maximum precautions are taken to ensure it heals as fast as possible. Being in a boot or using a scooter isn’t really a sign that he’s hurt badly just that they’re trying to minimize the usage of it completely.

If he is in the scrimmage today he won’t be mobile. If he’s not it’s possible it’ll put him behind in the QB race but he’s still inherently more accurate than Daniels no matter what.

No one knows if he would have won the job anyway, but missing a week of reps could decrease his chances, yes.

I guess that's better than an entire perfectly healthy team cancelling a bowl game to avoid losing.
