Do you have any game day superstitions/rituals? I have my Game Day mug that I must drink out of every game day morning. That mug is only used during the season and only on game day. I also cannot wear anything of the opposing team's colors during the week before the game.

Avoid saying anything that would jinx the team.

When I watch football I absolutely avoid any pre-game or during-game optimism.

It seems the times when I've thought, "oh, we've got this" something stupid happens and we lose.

But when I think "oh man we're fricked" we pull through.

I got a bit excited during the national championship, and I feel like it was I who lost the game for Clemson.

It is cute that grown men with no access to the players think they have some outcome on the game.

Kentucky players, fans and the Jefferson Pilot production crew definitely impacted the outcome of this game: LINK.

The players dumped Gatorade on the coach, the fans stormed the field before the game was over and JP flashed the FINAL score of UK 30, LSU 27 right as Devery Henderson caught the ball.

The three-pronged jinx... The Football Gods were very angry that day and meted out some punishment.

you sir, are a spoil sport and should just realize that you don't know shite. i'm 100% positive you are not a baseball fan. any baseball fan over the age of 15 understands the value of their superstitions and how they can actually upset the balance of any sports contest. science can't explain them so they scoff at them. well, frick science. god invented science just like he invented sports superstitions. you would be advised to keep your "rational" comments to yourself and never, never discuss this with a baseball player, especially one with a fricking bat in this hand.

Same here. I have to be full of negativity before the event. Makes the victory sweeter if you were convinced you'd lose

I wear long pants to every game, home or away, August or November. I usually throw in a blazer for home games too. The extra pockets do allow for more stadium booze and pocket beers for the Grove, but it can be brutally hot obviously. I haven't worn shorts to a game since Nutt was busy burying the program though.

That sounds miserable. It better be getting down into the 50's if I am gonna wear pants.

Nothing is as bad as walking around downtown Memphis in a wool suit during July or August, and I try to wear breezier shite during to the hot games, but I'm stuck in my ways at this point. Maybe I'll switch it up once we get the death penalty
