re: 2016 Clemson almost lost to everybody

This season gave me heart problems I'll give you that.

Honestly, I'm really happy that we got to participate in another amazing national title game with Alabama though.

Amazing that this team managed to play at both Troy's level and Alabama's level...in the same year

Pretty cool seeing my high school Alma Mater (Broken Arrow) mentioned here.

And yeah, 42-7. BA either goes playoffs hard or gets shite on the entire season. Kinda like Auburn, top 5 or bottom 5 no inbetween.
I do not like the thought of Clemson playing in Jordan-Hare at night opening weekend.

Despite being down, Auburn is still Auburn and therefore will recruit well.

However, Kevin Steele's defense up against a very very good offense headed by Deshaun Watson is not good for Auburn.
For those who don't remember, Kevin Steele was the DC at Clemson up until he let West Virginia put 70 points on us in the Orange bowl. He's really not a good DC.

And while I believe everyone on this board is severely underestimating Brent Venables' DC capabilities (he rebuilt the D last year and took it to the natty), I believe that week one will not prove a strong showing from the Clemson D.
That's going to be where Auburn has a chance - if they can take advantage of a week 1 rookie Defense.

I think Clemson will win. But I don't think its a sure lock.

2 seasons, two big out of conference games in a monsoon.

It's like God is trying to drown us.
I'm sure they are even talent wise.

And Alabama is going to win.

The only dissent to that I've seen is in the form of "what if"
God I love what Kentucky's been doing uniform-wise recently. Keep it up
EMGCC? Really? Surely VWCC or TCTC have substantially better chances of making it.

Probably even NRCCBDD
40-6 vs Oklahoma in the 2014 Russell Athletic bowl.

Is that how it is now? I grew up in the DFW Area, and at least half of everyone I knew was a TCU fan, always throwing up the horned frog gesture.

And this was before they joined the Big 12, too.

Yeah, I honestly hope Kansas didn't expect Beaty to give immediate results after he inherited what could only be described as a shite filled dumpster fire falling off of a cliff into sharp rocks located in a sea of vomit.

If the Tennessee hype is accurate, as I hope it is...

Tennessee 28
Alabama/LSU 24

In what is hopefully an instant classic

"wow, you're a clemson fan, why do you want Tennessee to do well?"

Girlfriend's a Vol. When she's happy, I'm happy. Tennessee never plays Clemson, so it's usually a safe bet.
I've probably bumped into a SECr poster at the Clemson-Carolina game and didn't even realize it.
Miami fans are really annoying.

However, they must exist first
Miami (ohio).

Because I'll click a link about the "Miami - Ball State" game and think "what's Miami doing playing some random MAC school?"

When I watch football I absolutely avoid any pre-game or during-game optimism.

It seems the times when I've thought, "oh, we've got this" something stupid happens and we lose.

But when I think "oh man we're fricked" we pull through.

I got a bit excited during the national championship, and I feel like it was I who lost the game for Clemson.
I see it going one of three ways:

1 - Clemson comes in and everything clicks, hadoukens auburn so hard Jordan-Hare stadium goes bald and becomes Jordan Stadium. 45-7

2 - It's the first game of the season in a hostile enviornment, and Clemson has trouble clicking. CU Tigers win a close one. 21-17

3 - 2013 Auburn revisits this team and causes some magical voodoo shite to happen again, perhaps this time Auburn's War Eagle grabs the football after DW4 throws it and carries it to an Auburn safety, who then takes it to the end zone. Because there is no rule against avian help in the official rule book, it is allowed. Auburn wins another "holy shite" game 17-14

2-10? SDS is acting like South Carolina is the new Kansas. The situation certainly isn't great, but it isn't Kansas bad.

The games against UMass and Western Carolina should be def wins.

I can also see South Carolina beating East Carolina, Mizzou, Vandy, and possibly UK.

Only reason I say maybe UK is because as of late it's the UK way to go undefeated in the first half of the season then get curbstomped the second half.
