Interesting. I love the stadium arms race. It's in full swing in the SEC for sure.
I was at LSU when the original West upper deck was torn down and replaced around 2005. This was long before the current SEZ expansion was even conceived. Anyway, I remember chatting with a friend who was interning with TAF, and the story always went that LSU would enclose the SEZ upper deck first and not the North. Reason being? Above the NEZ, you can see the LA State Capitol building from inside the stadium (from certain sections anyway). It was said the NEZ would remain without an upper deck to pay homage to Huey P. Long who (shadily) got state funding to build the stadium in the 20s.
Of course that could change; money talks and bullshite walks

I think LSU just stole a photo from a Sega Dreamcast game.
I think they took a sketch artist to Bryant Denny for that end zone addition.
They want to be Bama soooo bad.

The 102,500 capacity at Kyle will leave room for 7000 seats that can be added pretty easily.

Kentucky's rendering looks like they went to a kindergarten class and told them to draw the best UK stadium, then chose the best one out of the class.
And not sure if Ole Miss' really belongs, since y'all haven't started any type of construction nor set a date. It is merely a rendering

The weird thing is entered this thread to post
"Kentucky's looks like a kindergartner got a hold of the crayolas after a night of binge drinking."

Are they actually adding them this time, and not just narrowing the seats again?
Yes they are actually planning on constructing new sections to bring the seats closer to the field - narrowing the seats only nets you about 500-1k anyway. To get any real numbers you have to expand or add more luxury boxes like we did most recently.

Sanford is at 92,746 & we'll be here for the foreseeable future. HDTV, ticket prices, parking, fuel, lodging etc. is gonna hurt attendance everywhere.... Any type of major new expansion is whacked unless you're aTm. And anything over 100-102,000 won't be sustainable there...JMO...

I would agree, the main reason LSU is expanding is due to the demand for Suites/Club Seating. I believe there was a 10+ waiting list.
Also the main reason we are adding "regular seating" is to push some of the visitors upward which will open up seating for LSU fans in the lower bowl

The biggest thing for A&M isn't the expansion (though it's needed with season tickets selling out so quickly every year now) it's the façade and the concourses being redone. We're going from a 50+ year old concrete structure that desperately needed whitewashing to a brick façade with beautiful new concourses.
