They get anxious around crowds, so they decided to play for us

Even if What you're implying is true, there is nothing shady or illegal about it. No funny business, just business.

This is true. It happens everywhere it can. UK hired Dennis Johnson's dad to an "administrative position" in the AD's department before he committed to anyone, and lo and behold he committed to UK.

I doubt this hasn't happened at a Power Conference school at least once.

LSU's recruiting has stunk for years now.
Johnny Jones, David Patrick, Eric Musselman. Simmons has ties to LSU. Blakeney has ties to Simmons. Domino effect. UK wants Newman anyway.

Does getting Mickey, Martin, and Quarterman in the same class also constitute "stinking"? Jones is a superior recruiter to his predecessor.

Quit acting like Alabama football fans. Some good players do want to go to other schools. Kentucky did not invent basketball, get your finger out of your twat!!!

I'm sure he was the best qualified basketball coach to fill an SEC assistant position when he was hired I wonder how long he will stay after 2015-16 when Simmons goes to the NBA?

I'll Help you since you are ignorant. David Patrick has a long relationship with Baton Rouge and Louisiana. He played High School ball here at my High school and although I wish he had played at LSU he went out of state to play until he came back home. He has been instrumental in many of the current players recruitments and has done an incredible job so far at LSU IMO. If the fact that he is at LSU helps us get his God son who is the best player in the country then Hell yea I'll take it. Otherwise he deserves his job trolling but hurt ignorant Kentucky fans can suck it.

Don't get butthurt, guy... Can't get em all.

We got Simmons and people want to play with him. Pretty simple. Look for more to follow.

It's good for the conference. He is close to the center commit for LSU as well.

Congrats on the pick ups, now Coach em up!

So LSU has decided to invest some of that O&G money in hoops and it pisses off the Cats

I'll worry when it's someone other than Jones coaching them.

In all seriousness, Blakeney was going to be under the microscope if he came to UK because of the very verbal asshurt from UofL over him switching from an Adidas school. And he's friends with Simmons. Seems like a good decision for the kid.

I just think it's hilarious that it torpedoes UofL's class a bit. UK still has a shot to get Newman so it shouldn't hurt too much.
