quote:

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee athletic director Phillip Fulmer, who led the Vols to a national championship in 1998 as head coach, said Wednesday he has no desire to return to the sideline and that the "coaching chapter of my life is closed."

quote:

"We've got a good football coach, and I believe in Jeremy Pruitt totally," Fulmer said. "I have no interest in coaching again and would rather spend that time being a grandfather and doing whatever I can as athletic director in helping Jeremy get this program where we all want it to be. Any talk of me coaching again is just a bunch of rumors."

Does tRant believe him?

At this point I really don't know who would hire him, even as a coordinator. He rose too fast, like Icarus. Pruitt is probably done, for his career. He's made alot of money in a short period of time, I hope he saved alot of it.

Even if he was interested, I doubt he would take over the mess right now. It would be after someone turned it around and left for the NFL or something.

At this point Tennessee is such a mess only another coordinator or fired coach would take it. It's almost a sure to be fired job.

He sounds happy with his life, and I'm happy for him. It's a shame that his love for and sense of duty to the program is going to force him to fire Pruitt and take over as HC in a few weeks

I think there are several programs that would take Pruitt as a D Coordinator with a quickness.

Are y’all retarded? Do you know how much better we were on defense while Pruitt was here? He’s been a terrible head coach, but to say you don’t believe Bama fans in saying they would take him back in a heart beat means you don’t know much about football. We would put him back on the sideline tomorrow if we could. I personally would demote Golding and put Pruitt calling plays immediately and I think a lot of Bama fans are of the same thought. Just watch, there is a very good chance Pruitt is helping our defense before the season is over.

They’re definitely showing their stupidity and lack of football knowledge tonight.
