Possibly the most over used retort on this board. It became unfunny a long, long time ago.

Most overused response to that possible. Became overused a long time ago.

Fulmer will always be UT fans fat hero based on winning 98 natty. Any wrong doing he's done before or after they'll all turn a blind eye.
Karma's definitely layed its foundation on rocky top & not going anywhere soon till the fatt arse finally departs.

Serious question. How many of you Tennessee fans would be open to hiring Fulmer as HC right now?

Honestly, I don't care one way or another. I'm numb by this point.

I feel bad for you guys. It's shocking at this point how UT has been unable to turn it around.

Fulmer is about to get exactly what he wanted all along, another shot at the head coaching job at UT.

I called that when it was announced that Pruitt was hired....I just didn't call it here, but on another board.

You’re right. However, the bastard was involved in blatant academic fraud at UT and received a pass on that from the NCAA by turning in Bama.

That’s a different discussion regarding what he did and got away with at UT. Fulmer was one of the legendary scum bags. But Bama fans blaming him for all their trouble is disingenuous.

Majors had a lot of class during that time and kept quiet and let Fulmer have his way. You’re right, karma’s a bitch and she works slowly sometimes.

Tenner is in the perfect storm. They gambled on another terrible hire and now they’re stuck with his and Chaney’s contracts. Tenner fans were giddy and poked fun at UGA fans when they “stole” Chaney away, but we all knew what they were getting and Coley is a better choice and brings much more innovation and energy, and we go through much fewer doughnuts and chairs in the coaches box.

Tenner fans have turned on Pruitt and they’re a relentless bunch. His seat’s hotter than a branding iron and he’s only in the 2nd game of his 2nd season. Who will want the job after Dooley/Kiffin/Jones/Pruitt.

Tough times for Tenners. Tough times.

Currently, very few (if any) Vol fans are blaming Fulmer.

Who ran off Leach?

That happened almost a week before Fulmer was hired. I assume the board did because they didn't want to hire a coach from an AD that went rogue.

Fulmer had his day in the sun. Today, he’s a 70 year old has-been.

If UT wants to join the elite, do everything to hire Peyton Manning.

Timeline:
Sunday - deal with Schiano falls apart
Thursday - Currie meets with Leach
Doeren agreed to new contract with NC St. after speaking with Tennessee
Friday - Currie is placed on paid leave and Fulmer hired

Later on: Tennessee pays Currie $2.5M

That timeline still proves Fulmer wasn't there yet when Leach was off the table.

You’re telling me that no one talked to Fulmer about being interim AD before Friday? And then hired him on Friday?

Lol.

Are you trying to say Fulmer has something to do with Leach not getting hired. Lol
