is it possible the conference outvotes Florida and South Carolina and makes a move here? Possibly even include Georgia Tech?

Apparently we don't have to be unanimous as a conference anymore to make these types of decisions so ....

The vote was 14-0. Just as it would be to add FSU or Clemson.

Yeah, but there's 14-0 and then there's "14-0."

This was "14-0" after it was a hard 13-1.

Gentleman's agreement is dead. If the SEC and ESPN want FSU/Clemson they will get them.

Georgia/LSU is lucky that their instate former SEC counterpart is not brand worthy. And probably Kentucky too since Louisville doesn't add much.

Might as well go to 18 teams. Natural rivalries with Clemson, FSU would be a good addition.

CFB league coming baws. Super-SEC and BIGPAC conferences with individual divisions

No to both… not just no, but hell-no. Neither of those schools add a dam thing to the SEC footprint. 16 team conference is just manageable… more than that it becomes the NFL.

Make no mistake about it Sankey & ESPN are running the SEC and what they want they get, Texas and OU are perfect examples of that.

From what I have heard, Clemson/FSU are waiting to see how the finances are handled during the OU/Texas additions. OU/Texas will owe about $75mil each to the Big12 if they join in 2022. And Clemson/FSU’s buyout will be much larger because of the caveat that the ACC owns their TV rights thru 2035-ish

It is all about money right now, we will see how it shakes out, but this will happen from what I have been told.

Gentleman's Agreement is dead. All about business now. If the SEC is trying to corner the sport, Clemson and FSU need to be a part of it. Make it happen Sankey.

Tech will never get another invite, they left on bad terms and have enemies that actually arent UGA. Love for Tech to be in the sec, clears us up for real ooc games and is an easy win in conference

NO

The SEC is done as far as moves. Sankey was good with the Big 12 thing (2 teams) but he's not making a move on the ACC.

Yeah. Pretty sure Auburn doesn’t want Tech in the conference again, too. You don’t leave and then come back. And I wouldn’t want FSU for a similar reason. They already turned the SEC down once.

Why would Auburn not want Tech? Was a great rivalry (for which Auburn has some dormant traditions) and the recent times we played were a blast. Also, if I understand correctly, Auburn favored Tech coming back when it was an issue before. It was uga and the Mississippi schools (who were butthurt over travel issues) who locked Tech out. I think even Bama was going to be a vote to allow Tech back in (we are still in their fight song too).

I don’t know, Dick Jacket. Maybe there are just bigger fish to hook now.

Gentleman's agreement made sense when the SEC was concerned with having the premier teams on the biggest stage in the southeast.

Now the SEC is concerned with taking control of college football. It's a different world.

I don't know, it's different with FSU (pussied out) and GT (quit on their own).

Remember that soon, the number changes, 12 of 16 will be needed and the newest two would not have any issues.
