in every regard. He specifically cited supplementation, scouting and recruiting funding, money for hosting and entertaining families and recruits and HS coaches. Computer and preparation hardware and equipment including film, and so forth. And paid trips to various schools, camps and NFL location for learning and sharing of ideas.
Richt was @ UGA then and was before Saban. He said Alabama was pitiful And relying solely on the name at the time. He made a trip to LSU and visited when Saban was there. He also said Auburn was top notch. Rated Georgia and LSU at the very top with AU third. He said the coaches at Alabama had to throw in their own $$ to buy some sort of scouting computers to look at the up coming opponents tendencies. Of course this was BS, before Saban.
BTW, I have heard rumblings from various UGA fans complaining about admin. And would just smile. After Bryant left UA the money for football dried up. I remember Gene Stallings raising hell and basically calling the PTB's there liars. They made him a bunch of empty promises apparently. When they were in a coaching search his statement was "the new coach better get anything they say or promise in writing Brother, caus it ain't coming"...was also a big part of Perkins hauling buggy. They obviously got the message later on and Nick Saban delivered it.

Richt got whacked by ncaa for paying assistants bonuses out of his own pocket because admin wouldn’t do it.
Nod and smile about that, asswhipe.

Well N Callaway was the coach so you figure it out. He's at USC now and if you ever see him ask him about. Was friends with he and Rodney G @ the time. Last time I saw RG was @ the QB club in Atlanta where I presented the player of the year award to Shaun Alexander and sat @ the head table with A Munoz and his son who was on the way to UT. He got the HS player of the year award. I was invited by the QB club President, the old Tech guy who was an official in the SEC for years and years. He was trying to sell the folks I worked for a piece of Real Estate. He did and r---d us over the coals for it!

LOL! 3 things. (1)I'm 72 but don't get antsy. (I'm 6'3 and weigh exactly 180. I have a 46 inch chest and a 33 inch waist. I can only bench 150 but I do about 100 pushups/50 chins @ body weight/2 sets of 240X10 on the chest crunch/2X 135 curls/ and a bunch of military crap. 4-5 days a week.(2) You'd likely beat the snot out of me but what if you didn't. (3) You'd have one hell of a time explaining that to the boys on the golf course...LOL! Now not all the chins are consecutive nor are the pushups. I rest some. But still....
