This ump is bad, but I’m not sure a good one makes a difference when you have hit 5 batters and walked 5-6 guys.

Maybe prior to the '60s. Was okay in the 80's, when I was growing up in NE Arkansas, as long as you knew what areas to avoid. Been a complete shitehole for a long time though.
