When your plate approach is to beg the ump to call borderline pitches/swings balls you set yourself up for this.

Wasn’t even close to a strike but definitely close to a swing. Can’t take that into your own hands when you have a guy whose sole responsibility is to watch for that specific situation.

Gaeckle getting some calls for sure.
He just can't locate at all this year. Ump definitely has bailed him out, but we've seen our fair share of this shite all year on the road.

Ravech has struggled this entire series. Fun fact, did you know that the left fielder from Texas is only 17 and played safety and missed his prom to play baseball? I would have never known if Ravech hadn’t told us 99 times a night. That being said, he is an impressive young athlete!

A perfect ump would be nice but I’ll always settle for consistency. This guy is neither. Below the knees, outside, anything goes.
