I saw someone on Tiger Rant the other day saying Hill might finish with a sub 1.00 ERA. Something tells me 8 ER over 0.1 IP is gonna be tough to overcome.

He's great. Wish we would move him down to 2nd or 3rd in the lineup to get more ABs with runners on base.

A very underrated league indeed. Aside from those two teams, ECU is ranked and had some good seasons in the past, and Houston and UConn have both strung together a few seasons of being regional quality

That was pretty terrible. And the worst part is you saw it coming immediately. 2B was camped and kept floating back, RF was charging, it looked inevitable off the bat

Yup, LSU has that no lead is safe look. They are gonna post some big offensive numbers this year. Will be a fun team to watch.

Southern did the exact same thing in our last game.
The high run totals vs these teams always give me a little pause. It's great and all, but I try not to get too excited until we see it vs SEC teams.

Normally I would agree but I swear for the past 5 years we have struggled to even put up runs against the bad teams. This is at least encouraging. Plus we have an actual legit hitting coach in Eddie Smith who is proven unlike the ho arse retreads that Paul has hired just because they were alumni.

Oh I'm in no way trying to say that can't/won't score runs vs SEC teams. Just being cautiously optimistic because SEC teams won't commit as many errors/passed balls/walks and will be more difficult to hit.
My approach to pretty much every season is wait and see until after 3 or 4 SEC series regardless of what we do pre-conference.

Hill still having an ERA below 7 on the year is honestly commendable with 216 today
