People pay an insane amount of money to fish for pike here. Still a week or two away from going pike fishing, but yes I do it often. Grayling and pike are pretty easy to catch here. I just have not fished for lake trout much because of the pike and grayling. Just going to make it a priority this year.

Pike do seem much easier to catch. Biters. Never eaten one, though. They're not as tasty as a laker are they?

I like them. Y bones so a little more difficult to fillet. The place I like to go has a special designation where you can on keep one. It’s nothing to catch 40” pike. Occasionally they break 50”.

I watch some baws on YT in Canada and they say pike ravage some of their lakes re: feasting on the spawns of most other fish.
