Florida is the flagship school of that state and a charter member. I really don’t want to lose them and pick up FSU.

Miami is the small private school. Florida is the huge school with multiple national titles across an array of sports. FSU

Laughable. As a state fan, I can confirm this is 10,000% bullshite.

The smart thing would be to form a new conference that combines the best teams from the Big 10 and SEC, along with FSU + Miami.
The remainder of teams can fight for an 11/12 seed.
