The issue here is that the thread title is phrased similarly to "When are you going to stop beating your wife?" You don't have to say that you oppose political violence. Almost everybody is against political violence and killing presidential candidates, and it's disingenuous to pretend otherwise.
There's a small minority of people making really inappropriate jokes, but I have a sneaking suspicion that we might have seen some of that same classless behavior on this very board if there was an assassination attempt against Biden.

Spare me the “it’s only that one party” crap. They’re ALL hyprocrites who are there to line their pockets with our tax dollars. And then be given a lifetime job with Cadillac insurance on our dime.
We need term limits, ban on former congresspeople as lobbyists, and full transparency of the pockets they have their hands in before they ever take office.

I’m implying politicians are shitbags and there’s no telling who they’ve pissed off. And there’s no telling what is going on in the head of the shooter. I’ve seen people killed for less.
Also worth noting, I live in the city where the National Bank shooter was a Democrat who wanted to prove how “easy” it was for him to obtain firearms despite being suicidal.
I don’t make assumptions on motivations.

It is more than just that. You have billionaires like George Soros that in his own words want to see the destruction of the United States.
You have other ultra wealthy elites that see the United States in the way of the ultimate goal and that is a one world government. Politics is just a game played and the common people are just the pawns.

It would be better for this country if both candidates would bow out. We need people who are like normal business CEO age not retirement home age running this country. Liberals are mostly full of shite with no positive program and the conservative agenda is wrapped up in this narrative of national renewal but my hunch everything they want to do will actually accelerate decline.
This country desperately needs a new constitution that reforms our political systems to make the two-party system end. But that has no chance to happen without civil war but for some damn reason the Union kept the constitution around instead of scraping it and starting over in 1865. So I'm not even sure a great national blood letting could reform this country sufficiently but instead just lead to a lot of dead Americans and a new group of elites calling the shots (or the existing operating without opposition to enact their program).
