My favorite line from that article: "prayer warrior."

People who say stupid shite like that are almost always shady.

Yes, most people have skeletons but most aren't going around telling every redneck dipshit that will listen how Jesusy they are.

Evangelicals that are all in your face with it suck and are mostly frauds.

The best people I know who are Christian could have a talk with gays, lesbians, muslims, you name it and would never come across as self righteous and in your face.

Freeze is a typical southern Evangelical hypocrite that make up the religious right in this country.

You mean like Jesus, which is exactly what the word Christian means. Christ-like.

Always found it interesting and odd that many church people I have run across shunned those that were not like them, didn't dress like them, didn't have the same lifestyle as them. They didn't want them at their church. It was almost like they didn't even read the Bible. At least not the New Testament.

That's typically prevalent at a church which is really more of a social club. It's where they get together so that everyone can see them being good Christians at church.

The thing that bothers me is that the stigma is out there that anybody who is a Christian is like that. And that's actually the opposite of what a Christian should be. It's why it makes me angry at people like Hugh Freeze. They're all self-righteous and in your face about it, when really they are nothing but hypocrites. And they give a bad name to anybody who claims Christianity.
If you recall, the only ones that Jesus chastised were the religious leaders who were self-righteous hypocrites. He didn't chastise the prostitutes and ones that weren't living right. He embraced them.

Well, we know from this thread that Tuscaloosa has hired a hooker a few times in his life.

I've never hired any prostitutes, but I'm full of flaws and have had my share of struggles and have fallen flat on my face before.

Who cares if his "faith" was real or not. The terrorist that hijacked the planes on 9/11 had faith too. We saw what that lead to.

I suppose I should have been more clear on that. I simply meant I believe Freeze "practiced what he preached" more than not, until he got caught up in this stuff - whenever that was.

why do you believe that? You keep telling people that they don't know the man and are just using their opinions. I'm going to turn that around on you.

Are you implying there was nothing shady about him before he got to Ole Miss? Because it seems pretty common knowledge that there was a lot of shady business even before then with Hugh freeze. And reading your posts, it almost seems like you think the 2013 class was legit and above board. That he just all of the sudden started acting a fool.

he started talking about being persecuted and stuff - knowing he was in the wrong
That's the issue right there.

Everyone goes through life changes and reacts differently, but only bastards call the consequences of their misdeeds "persecution" and the truth seekers liars evil doers. A repentant man confesses, accepts responsibility, then works to regain the trust of those he's violated. We've yet to see that from Freeze.

Hugh Freeze wqnted to be that man he acted like he was. Maybe. His actions since coming. To OM says he was not for a while. When he compared himself to Jesus being persecuted, he became a blasphemer. He was guilty as sin. It's not being persecuted if you are questioned about what you are guilty of. That just irked me when he said it and I knew then he was a charlatan.

I don't know anything about the guy before he got to Ole Miss, and the only thing you think you know is nothing but hearsay.

Never said that, either.
